Fettuccine belong to the Fettucce family and their origins are to be sought in Central and Southern Italy. They are a long format with a flat or almost flat section varying from 1,03 and 1,11 mm.
Serve Fettuccine with fresh canned tomato, with vegetables and a sprinkle of seasoning herb mix, with quick hot sauces, with a drop of extra virgin olive oil, garlic, red chillies and anchovies. Also recommended with fish and shellfish sauces; "white" sauces made with cream, mascarpone, soft and melted cheeses, spiced with saffron, radish, curry and ginger.
