Formerly know as Eden Bancha, Eden Sencha is the same tea! Only the name was changed to better reflect its actual harvest time. These organic, first tender spring tea leaves come from centuries old tea plantations of Uji. That is the most famous tea growing area of Japan and provenance of Japanese tea. The freshly picked tea leaves are immediately steamed and then rubbed to release their flavor and aroma before they are slowly dried. By using this traditional process, Sencha's emerald green color and many healthy antioxidants, which are collectively referred to as catechins.
