Chaste Berry Tea

Used for centuries by women, Chasteberry (Vitex agnus castus) is 
a deciduous bush or tree which is very common in southern Europe 
and Mediterranean countries. The tree itselg is a form of wild 
lilac, with the same pink-violet, sweet-smelling flowers and 
arrays of light green, pointed leaves. 

It is the small, hard 
berry, somewhat similar to a peppercorn, that is harvested for 
its beneficial health properties. Referenced in the writings of 
Hippocrates, Pliny, and Dioscorides, Chasteberry was highly 
revered, especially for the women. Today, Chasteberry is 
enjoying a considerable revival due to its unique properties.
