Echinaforce

SUGGESTED USE 

Adults add 15-20 drops to a small amount of 
water 3 to 5 times daily before eating. Salivate well before 
swallowing. 

Tablets: 1-2 tablets 3-5 times a day. Let the 
tablets dissolve in mouth. 

Children: 5 drops in a small 
amount of water 3 times daily before eating. 

When used as a 
preventative, dosage should be repeated for five consecutive 
days then halted for two days. This cycle should be repeated 
until desired results are observed. In acute cases, 40 drops 3 
times daily may be used for up to 3 days. It is suggested the 
product not be used for more than 2 months continuously. 
Tolerance 

Echinaforce is tolerated very well. 
Hypersensitivity reactions (for example, skin rashes) have not 
appeared with Echinaforce to date. Should such reactions occur 
discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. Echinacea 
products should be avoided by persons with known allergy to 
plants of the Composite family, or individuals with immune 
system disorders.

Ingredients 

Extract of fresh organically grown Echinacea 
herb, 95% herb and 5% roots. Sixty-seven percent (65%) alcohol 
is used to extract the maximum number and levels of active and 
supportive elements. 20 drops is equivalent to 259 mg fresh 
Echinacea. 2 tablets equivalent to 538 mg fresh Echinacea. The 
tablets contain approximately 250 mg lactose. Echinaforce has a 
full spectrum potency, meaning that the chemical profile of the 
extract is very similar to the whole fresh plant.

Constituents and Mode of Action 

A broad range of 
investigations have shown that echinacea extracts stimulate 
the nonspecific resistance system. The following primary effects 
of echinacea preparations have been observed in vivo and/or 
vitro: 

By stimulating the bone marrow, they induce an 
increased release of leucocytes, especially granulocytes, into 
the blood. This promotes the resistance reaction.





The 
phagocytic potency of the granulocytes and macrophages is 
significantly increased. The serum properdin level is increased, 
promoting the non specific resistance system. 

The 
macrophages are stimulated to release effector substances such 
as tumor necrosis factor a, interferon b2, and interleukin 1. 
The antiphlogistic effect and the inhibition of cell processes 
leading to cross-linking the collagen also supports wound 
healing. 
Even though many ingredients and elements of 
Echinacea have been isolated and identified, it is not possible 
to ascribe the effectiveness clearly to a fixed substance. Among 
the best known active constituents of Echinacea are:
