Super Silica Complex™ is a vegetarian complex of
silica from Horsetail leaf extract, minerals and select
nutrients that nutritionally supports healthy bones, hair &
nails.*
Silica (silicon) is required for proper integrity of
the skin, ligaments, tendons, and bone. The highest
concentrations of silicon in the body are found in skin and
hair. As we age, skin levels of silicon decline. Research has
shown that supplemental silicon can help support beautiful skin
and healthier hair. In addition, research shows that
silicon-deficient diets lead to depressed collagen synthesis and
abnormal ligament, tendon, and bone integrity. Specifically,
silicon is required by the enzyme, prolyhydroxylase, which is
involved in collagen synthesis in bone, cartilage, and other
connective tissues. Silicon is also believed to play a role in
bone calcification as high concentrations of silicon have been
found at the calcification sites of growing bones. Super Silica
Complex™ provides 20 mg of natural silica from Horsetail leaf
extract.
Super Silica Complex™ is further enhanced with the
minerals Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc. Calcium helps build strong
bones and teeth. It is also an essential nutrient for the
healthy function of the heart, nerves, blood and muscles.
Magnesium plays a critical role in calcium metabolism. Low serum
levels of magnesium have been found to result in hypocalcemia
(low serum levels of calcium), which affects proper bone growth.
Magnesium is also required for more than 300 biochemical
reactions in the body. Zinc is an important nutrient for healthy
skin, a vital component of many enzyme reactions and is required
for protein synthesis and collagen formation.

Directions:
