Futurebiotics Cholestatin® is a
multi-nutrient formula combining the benefits of Cholestatin®
plant sterols (phytosterols) and other select heart-healthy
ingredients.
Cholestatin® is a well-balanced complex of
naturally-occurring plant sterols, often referred to as
phytosterols, derived from vegetable oil distillates. The
complex of phytosterols, including beta-sitosterol, campesterol,
stigmasterol and brassicasterol are present in the native ratio.
Phytosterols are natural fat-like compounds whose chemical
structures are very similar to cholesterol and have been shown
to help support healthy cholesterol levels by decreasing
cholesterol absorption in the small intestine. Phytosterols have
been the subject of extensive human clinical research that has
demonstrated phytosterols work by helping to reduce absorption
of both dietary cholesterol and endogenous cholesterol
(cholesterol manufactured by the body) by competing for
absorption during intestinal uptake.
Futurebiotics
Cholestatin® employs several antioxidants in order to provide a
complete heart-healthy formula, including BioAstin® Astaxanthin,
a powerful antioxidant derived from micro algae. A growing body
of scientific literature demonstrates that natural Astaxanthin
surpasses many of the antioxidant benefits of vitamin C, vitamin
E, beta-carotene and other carotenoids. Research has also shown
that natural Astaxanthin has up to 500 times the antioxidant
activity of vitamin E and 10 times the antioxidant activity of
beta-carotene.
Additional heart-healthy support is provided
with PomActiv™ Pomegranate fruit extract. Pomegranates are one
of the oldest fruits consumed and contain ellagitannins,
powerful antioxidant polyphenolic compounds. PomActiv™ is
standardized to 70% ellagic acid.

natural freshness and helps maintain product
potency.
Directions:
As a dietary supplement for adults,
take 1 tablet 3 times daily with meals or as directed by a
healthcare professional.
