L-Pyroglutamic A c i d is believed to be associated with activity of the key neurotransmitter, acetylcholine, and with the production of GABA and glycine, two other important neurotransmitters.

L-Pyroglutamic Acid is an amino acid found in fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and meat. L-Pyrogutamic Acid naturally occurs in the body and is sometimes referred to as the forgotten amino acid. Lpyroglutamic acid has unique properties in that it is a key neurotransmitter which may promote cognitive function in both men and women. Pyrogutamic acid is chemically related to piracetam a nootropic drug. Anybody on piracetam or similar drugs should not consume additional pyrogutamic acid.
