Our yerba maté comes from the beautiful Guayaki Rainforest Reserve, located in the Mata Atlantica rainforest of Paraguay. Local and indigenous families who grow the yerba maté use sustainable growing methods to protect the environment and preserve an important source of livelihoods for future generations. This organic yerba maté is shade-grown, then hand-picked, wood-dried and cedar-aged for premium quality and exceptional flavor.
How does it taste? Slightly astringent, bitter and smoky. Add a sweetener, if desired.

Brew Well to be Well™
For maximum benefit, medicinal tea must be properly prepared. Pour 8 oz. hot water (freshly boiled but no longer bubbling) over a tea bag in a cup. Cover cup and steep 5 -10 minutes. These steps directly influence the amount of beneficial components that will end up in your teacup! Gently squeeze the tea bag to release the remaining extract. Add a sweetener if desired.
Drink 3 or more cups daily. For an extra strength brew, use two teabags or brew up a whole pot using four or five teabags.
