In order to
make quick money on
Nitric Oxide’s (NO) recent popularity, many
supplement
companies have been rushing NO simulator products to
stores.
While these supplement companies try to cash in on
these products, many of their formulas only contain one
ingredient: AAKG (Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate). AAKG boosts
NO
production by stimulating nitric oxide synthase, the
enzyme that
makes NO. This causes many anabolic effects
which are primarily
increased nutrient transport and
vasodilation (which means
greater blood flow to your muscles
and a better pump a the gym,
better recovery, greater
endurance, and the addition of muscle
fiber to your muscles
(instead of water)).
While supplements
that contain AAKG
provide these great results, they only do so
for 1-2 hours
if they are just a pressed tablet. Even if the
product is
time released, the NO production will only last for
4-8
hours. The question then is what about the other 16-20
hours?
Some companies have now released a so called
wonder
Pump supplement that contains some magical
proprietary blend. Of
course, anyone in professional
bodybuilding will tell that
proprietary blends are the worst
form of supplement to take as
you do not know what is in
them and therefore you do not know
what you are taking. A
supplement company should not be afraid
to tell you what is
in their product and should put a detailed
breakdown on the
label.
In the future NO products that only
contain one
ingredient (AAKG) or a bogus proprietary blend will
be left
obsolete. In the future there will be an NO product that
provides up to 24 hours of sustained NO release.
