In the

Ashinika tribes of Peru have used it as a treatment for

Chanca Piedra - (tops) - Phyllanthus niruri - It’s name, “Stone 
Breaker”, tells of its great effectiveness in breaking up kidney 
stones. This is partly due to its diuretic action, which also 
promotes positive urinary function. It is also know as an 
anti-hepatotoxic and anti-spasmodic, among other traditional 
claims.
