How to Use Bentonite for Skin or Bowel Problems
Bentonite is a form of montmorillonite clay that is basically aluminum silicate. It swells when added to water, forming a thick gel that consists of spongy bentonite with a great deal of surface area both outside and inside the sponge-like structure that is also negatively charged - just ripe for attracting heavy metals and other pollutants with an equal and opposite charge.
Bentonite gel, whether purchased in that form or as a powder to be added to fruit juice or water at a specified clay to water ratio (follow it exactly as on the label), possess a thixotropy. That means that it thins down on stirring or shaking unto a drinkable constituency. So always 'Shake the Bottle' whenever a medicine label asks you to. The contents could either settle or be thixotropic.
There is no typical dose, because it depends on the grade, but expect to be asked to use anything from a half-teaspoon to one tablespoon mixed in water or fruit juice 2-3 times daily. It will become active when in your stomach, and will begin to absorb pathogenic substances such as heavy metals, pesticides and some bacteria. Because it is sponge-like, bentonite gel will soften hard stools causing constipation, and also remove moisture from diarrhea, allowing that to be evacuated in the form of normal bowel motions.

as montmorillonite) is a natural clay mineral of volcanic
origin, created from volcanic ash deposits that are millions of
years old. Some of the largest - and highest quality - deposits
of bentonite occur in the Great Plains area of the United

platelets, that when properly hydrated in water form a porous
"house of cards" structure with an enormous surface area.

Bentonite has an unusual property you will notice
when you open the bottle. After complete hydration, it becomes
very thick and viscous when it sits for a while. If shaken or
stirred, the bentonite can be poured, which is why the
instructions say "Shake well before using." It will become thick
once again if allowed to sit undisturbed.

consumers a choice of pint or quart bottles. The pint bottle is
shatter resistant amber PET plastic, and the quart bottle is
amber glass.
SUGGESTED ADULT USE: Shake well before using.
For daily use, take 1 tablespoonful with liquid once or twice a
day on an empty stomach. For short term use, up to one week,
take 1 tablespoonful with liquid every two hours. Drink
additional fluid during the day.
