Echinacea PM Nightime Syrup is
formulated to both strengthen the immune system and encourage
restful sleep for those suffering from a cold, flu or allergies.
Irritating symptoms such as a cough, congestion, or headache and
restlessness can cause insomnia and compromise healing.
Echinacea stimulates the production and activity of macrophages
- the white blood cells that destroy invading organisms,
including viruses and bacteria. Coptis, a powerful antiviral and
antibacterial herb, is also added to help fight infection. The
nervine herbs, Valerian, Scullcap and Passionflower, relax and
sedate the nervous system to encourage sleep so that the immune
system can more effectively fight off infection. Marshmallow
and Polygala both have mild expectorant properties and are
included to soothe and reduce irritating coughs which can keep
us awake. Pueraria, also known as Kudzu root, is added for its
cooling effect and is used in Chinese medicine for reducing
swollen sinus membranes and relaxing neck and shoulder
tension.
