Easing Asthma With Pine Bark

A French maritime pine bark extract known as Pycnogenol has been found to improve pulmonary function in children with mild to moderate asthma. The Study, Published in the Journal of Asthma, found that 60 children ages 6 to 18 who took Pycnogenol were able to significantly reduce or discontinue their use of inflammatory mediators known as leukotrienes, which cause inflammation and bronchi constriction commonly associated with asthma.
