What is Blood Blend?
Blood Blend is blend of six herbs selected for their beneficial effects on the blood and the liver. These are the roots of dandelion, burdock, yellow dock, sarsaparilla, echinacea and licorice, all combined into a single supplement that you can use to purify and maintain the health of your blood. Your liver is not only your body's chemical processing plant, but is also important in detoxifying your blood and removing impurities. The Components of Blood Blend
Blood Blend is a combination of six herbs, each offering its own benefits to the health and purity of your blood and circulation system. Some of the six have been chosen for their beneficial effects on the liver, which is responsible for purifying the blood and removing toxins.
Dandelion root is high in iron, and enables your body to maintain a healthy level of hemoglobin, or red blood cells. It is also a powerful diuretic, flushing out the liver and kidneys, and helping to keep your blood free of toxins. It also provides the potassium that helps prevent your blood pressure dropping too low.
Yellow dock is particularly high in liver, and supports dandelion in keeping your blood healthy and able to pass oxygen onto to the body cells that need it - every cell in your body requires oxygen. It also helps purify the blood supply to the glands, and so maintain a healthy flow of bile and hormones. By cleansing the liver, yellow dock also cleanses the blood.

Sarsaparilla has been traditionally used to improve stamina and energy by increasing the capacity for the blood to hold oxygen. This is again believed to be by improving the hemoglobin count and purifying the blood from toxins, particularly from heavy metals and modern industrial toxins.
Echinacea is an effective cleanser of the blood and lymphatic system, stimulating the immune system and removing toxins from the blood.

What Vitamins Raise Blood Pressure And What Ones Lower Blood Pressure?
Blood pressure is the term used to describe the force of blood that exerts against our bodies’ artery walls. Blood pressure is affected by several factors. Factors such as weight, age, family history, tobacco use, alcohol intake, activity level, stress, just to name a few. The American Heart Association recommends that the ideal blood pressure is 120/80mmHg. The term hypertension refers to increased blood pressure. When ones’ blood pressure remains constantly high for a sustained period of time, it is termed as hypertension. Now, we will discuss the vitamins that could lower or raise our blood pressure.
There are certain vitamins that can actually raise our blood pressure. Vitamin K can contribute to raise one’s blood pressure. Vitamin K does not directly increase blood pressure though. It affects blood cell clotting which also affects the regulation of blood pressure. Studies also suggest that low intake of Vitamin D can contribute to high blood pressure. Vitamin D plays a part in the renin-angiotensin mechanism which affects the increase or decrease of blood pressure. Vitamin D controls the production of renin. Renin helps inhibit the enzymes that cause the arteries to constrict and increase water and sodium retention, leading to an increase in blood pressure. So the so-called “sunshine vitamin” in correct amounts is good for us in controlling blood pressure.
There are also vitamins that lower blood pressure. Vitamin C is one such vitamin. Vitamin C plays a role in the maintenance of connective tissues and cells. It aids in lowering the blood pressure by preventing the generation of free radicals (free radicals damage artery walls) and prevents the deposition of plaque in the artery walls which are damaged. It can be found in fresh fruits such as oranges, papaya, guavas, just to name a few. Vitamin A also fights against high blood pressure. It is a fat soluble vitamin which primarily works in the fat tissues. Vitamin A aids in the prevention of Low Density Lipoprotein (also known as the “bad cholesterol”) build up in the body. LDL causes the buildup plaque in the arteries.
Vitamin E also helps in lowering your blood pressure by acting as an anti-oxidant in body. Vitamin E protects the arteries from the harmful effects of LDL cholesterol. It also reduces the risks of cardiovascular disease. It does this by gradually breaking up clots in the circulatory system and aids in the prevention of formation of further blood clots. Green leafy vegetables, whole grains, nuts, are just some example of food where vitamin E can be found. Studies also suggest that Vitamin B6 can decrease blood pressure. Vitamin B6 aids in energy production by extracting them from our daily intake of carbohydrates, protein and fats. It aids in lowering blood pressure since it has properties which are similar to some diuretics. It can be found in bananas, chicken, salmon, corn.

The Effect of Minerals on Your Blood Sugar
Chromium and vanadium are two minerals that can be used for blood sugar control, though each appears to work in a different way.
