Lutein and zeaxanthin are two 
closely-related carotenoids, sister compounds to beta carotene. 
Lutein and zeaxanthin are found in plant leaves, and are 
especially rich in spinach, kale and green leafy vegetables. 
Lutein and zeaxanthin are found throughout the body, but they 
are concentrated in the retina of the eye. The part of the 
retina that receives the most light (directly opposite the 
pupil) is called the macula. Lutein and zeaxanthin localize in 
the macular region of the retina, and are called Macular

lutein and zeaxanthin are antioxidants with an affinity for

normal aging, levels of lutein and zeaxanthin in the macula

Suggested 
Use:
As a dietary supplement, put 1 to 2 level tablespoons into 
a large glass of water or juice. Stir well and drink 
immediately. Follow with an additional glass of water. Do not 
swallow in dry form. Flax Seed Powder is safe to use daily and 
can be added to blender drinks and baked goods. Substitute for 
bran, wheat germ and eggs in baking recipes (1 tablespoon of 
Flax Seed Powder and 3 tablespoons of water equals one egg; mix
