Lycopene
Definition: Lycopene is a carotenoid compound found in tomatoes that acts as an impressive antioxidant and can help to prevent the damaging effects of oxidants on DNA, thereby inhibiting the formation of tumors.
Applications: Hormonal imbalances, breast cancer and breast cancer risk.
Recommendations: Lycopene may be somewhat difficult to purchase at this time. If you do find it, look for pure varieties with no fillers and add it to your antioxidant and cruciferous extract array.
