Sea Cucumber
Definition: Sea cucumbers are not vegetables. They are marine-like animals related to starfish. Traditionally used by the Chinese to treat arthritis, the compounds found in these animals are proving themselves scientifically valuable for their anti-inflammatory properties. Some of the compounds found in sea cucumbers include chondoritin, and mucopolysaccharides.
Applications: Arthritis, inflammatory joint conditions, lupus, gout and ankylosing spondylitis.
Recommendations: Look for a pure product from reliable sources.
