Tea Tree Oil
Definition: Extracted from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia tree in Australia, tea tree oil is an essential oil that has impressive antiseptic and healing properties for treating almost every kind of skin affliction. Its antibacterial and antifungal actions make it ideal for wounds, burns, insect bites and yeast infections.
Applications: Abrasions, acne, arthritis, athlete's foot, bites, blisters, boils, burns (minor), canker sores, cold sores, cradle cap, cuts, dandruff, dermatitis, diaper rash, pet shampoo, eczema, fungal nail infections, gingivitis, head lice, hemorrhoids, insect repellant, poison oak and ivy, psoriasis, rashes, ringworm, sunburn, vaginal rinse and warts.
Recommendations: Concentrated oil, creams, shampoos, ointments, lotions, and toothpaste are available. Look for 100 percent pure products from reliable sources.
