Sandalwood has been sacred and revered for over 4,000 years. Overharvesting and increasing demand has caused Indian Sandalwood trees to be on the World Conservation Union's Threatened Species Redlist and banned for export from India. To provide the world with a sustainable supply of this precious oil, Simplers' Australian distiller began planting 65 square kilometers of Sandalwood trees over 15 years ago in the tropical north of Australia. Over 20 years of intensive research lead to new methods to help trees reach maturity within 15 years rather than 40-50 years. The entire operation is sustainable, including annual plantings, using purified recycled water and rainwater for distillation, and local waste wood as a source of renewable energy for fuel processing. Its purity and quality exceed international standards.

Sandalwood is a classic fixative in woody florals, Orientals, chypres, fougeres, amber bases and many other perfume types. Blends well with violet, rose, clove, lavender, bergamot, benzoin, cocoa, tuberose, oakmoss, cistus, patchouli, vetiver, geranium, mimosa and just about everything else.

DIRECTIONS
