NOW® Iron Complex is a unique blend of Ferrochel® Iron (a bioavailable form of iron) and its important co-nutrients combined with complementary botanicals. Iron is a mineral required for the formation of hemoglobin, a molecule that transports oxygen to the cells throughout the body in red blood cells.* Vitamin B-12 and Folate are necessary for red blood cell production, while Vitamin C is known to enhance Iron absorption from the GI tract.* This vegetarian formula is well-tolerated and non-constipating and has been designed to maximize Iron absorption and utilization by the body.*

This vegetarian formula is well-tolerated and non-constipating.* Vitamin C is included as ascorbic acid which has been shown to aid in the absorption of ferrous bisglycinate chelate, the form of iron used in this product. Our bodies need iron for the formation of hemoglobin, a molecule that transports oxygen through our blood to all tissues in our bodies.* Vitamin B-12 (as methylcobalamin) and Folate (as L-5-MTHF) are necessary for red blood cell production.* This formula also includes bioavailable forms of Copper (as copper gluconate) and Manganese (as manganese bisglycinate chelate), which are important cofactors required for proper absorption and utilization of iron by the body.* Finally, we’ve added key botanical extracts like Gentleman’s Beard (Pogostemon cablin Benth.) which have traditionally been used by herbalists for centuries to help promote healthy hair growth.*
