Debunking Myths About Stevia: Separating Fact from Fiction Stevia has gained significant popularity as a natural sweetener, but with popularity comes a wave of misconceptions and myths. As consumers become more health-conscious and seek alternatives to sugar, it’s essential to separate fact from fiction regarding Stevia. This article debunks stevia myths with evidence-based info to clarify consumer doubts.
Myth 1: Stevia Is Artificial Fact: One of the most prevalent myths about stevia is that it is artificial. In reality, stevia is a completely natural sweetener derived from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant. The plant has been used for centuries by indigenous people in South America for its sweetening properties. Unlike artificial sweeteners such as aspartame or saccharin, stevia is derived from a natural source and processed to extract its sweet components, known as steviol glycosides.
Myth 2: Stevia Is Harmful Fact: Another common misconception is that stevia is harmful to health. Scientific studies and regulatory organizations have repeatedly confirmed the safety of stevia. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classifies high-purity stevia extracts as "Generally Recognized as Safe" (GRAS) for consumption. Furthermore, research indicates that stevia can have health benefits like lowering blood pressure and blood sugar levels, making it a suitable sweetener for individuals with diabetes and hyperTension.
Myth 3: Stevia Tastes Bad Fact: Some people believe that stevia has a bitter aftertaste, which makes it less appealing as a sweetener. While early formulations of stevia extracts indeed presented a noticeable bitter aftertaste, advancements in processing have minimized this issue. Modern high-purity stevia products are often combined with other natural sweeteners or flavor enhancers to improve taste, making them virtually indistinguishable from sugar in many applications.
Myth 4: Stevia Is Only for Diabetics Fact: While it’s true that stevia is an excellent sweetener for individuals managing diabetes due to its zero-calorie and zero-carbohydrate nature, it is not exclusive to them. Anyone looking to reduce sugar consumption or seeking a natural alternative can benefit from using stevia. It is a versatile sweetener that can be used in a variety of foods and beverages, making it suitable for the general population striving for a healthier lifestyle.
Myth 5: All Stevia Products Are the Same Fact: Not all stevia products are created equal. The purity and quality of stevia extracts can vary significantly between products. It's crucial to read labels and choose products that contain high-purity stevia extracts, as some products on the market contain added fillers or lower-grade stevia. By selecting reputable brands and scrutinizing ingredient lists, consumers can ensure they are using high-quality stevia that meets their health standards. Kal Sure Stevia Extract is one of those high-quality brands that stand out in the market. Known for its commitment to purity and potency, Kal Sure Stevia Extract offers a product that is free from fillers and unnecessary additives. The brand’s stringent quality control measures ensure that each batch contains only high-purity stevia extracts, delivering consistent sweetness without the aftertaste. Consumers can trust Kal Sure Stevia Extract as a safe, reliable, and pleasant-tasting alternative to conventional sugar. When choosing a stevia product, it's essential to opt for a brand like Kal Sure stevia to enjoy the full benefits of this natural sweetener.
Myth 6: Stevia Causes Allergic Reactions Fact: Some believe that consuming stevia can trigger allergies. However, stevia is generally considered hypoallergenic and does not commonly cause allergic reactions. There have been few documented cases of stevia allergies, and these are typically related to individuals with specific sensitivities. For the vast majority of people, stevia is a safe and well-tolerated sweetener, even for those with common food allergies.
Myth 7: Stevia Leads to Weight Gain Fact: The notion that stevia contributes to weight gain is counterintuitive, given its zero-calorie nature. Unlike sugar, which is high in calories and contributes to weight gain, stevia provides sweetness without adding calories. Using stevia instead of sugar can help reduce overall caloric intake, aiding in weight management efforts. Multiple studies have shown that replacing sugar with stevia can be an effective strategy for achieving and maintaining a healthy weight.
Myth 8: Stevia Disrupts Metabolism Fact: Concerns about stevia disrupting metabolism are unfounded. Research indicates that stevia neither affects metabolic rates nor alters insulin sensitivity in a negative manner. On the contrary, stevia has been shown to have a neutral or even beneficial impact on metabolism, particularly for individuals with metabolic disorders like diabetes. It allows for sweetening without the metabolic consequences associated with high sugar consumption.
Myth 9: Stevia Can’t Be Used in Baking Fact: There is a misconception that stevia is unsuitable for baking due to its chemical composition. While it is true that baking with stevia requires some adjustments—since it does not have the same physical properties as sugar—it can still be used effectively. Bakers often use stevia in combination with other ingredients to achieve the desired texture and sweetness. Many recipes and commercial products have successfully incorporated stevia, proving its versatility in baking applications.
Myth 10: Stevia Is Expensive Fact: Consumers sometimes think that switching to stevia will significantly increase their grocery bills. While high-purity stevia products may be more expensive per ounce than sugar, they are much sweeter. A small amount of stevia goes a long way, which means that even a small container can last a long time. In the long run, the cost of stevia can be comparable to or even less than sugar, particularly when considering the health benefits and potential medical cost savings from reduced sugar consumption. Brands like Kal Stevia 3.5 oz contains 1800 servings per container.
Are You Ready to Sweeten Your Life? It is crucial to approach any information about stevia with a critical eye and rely on evidence-based data rather than myths. Stevia is a natural, safe, and versatile sweetener that offers numerous health benefits without the downsides of sugar and artificial sweeteners. By debunking these common misconceptions, consumers can make informed choices that contribute to a healthier lifestyle.
Take the Next Step Towards a Healthier Life Now is the perfect time to reconsider your sweetening choices and embrace the benefits of stevia. With its proven safety, versatility in cooking, and numerous health advantages, stevia stands out as a superior alternative to traditional sugar and artificial sweeteners. Start exploring reputable brands, like Kal Sure Stevia Extract, and experiment with incorporating stevia into your daily routine. By making this simple switch, you can enhance your overall well-being without compromising on taste. Visit your local grocery store or trusted online retailer to find high-quality stevia products and embark on your journey to a healthier, sweeter life today!

- Promotes Weight Loss
- Improve Mental Efficiency
- Green tea extract's impact on the central nervous system
- How Natures Answer Green Tea Extract can enhance cognitive abilities
- Promotes Heart Health
With the growing awareness about the health benefits of green tea, it comes as no surprise that it has become a popular health supplement. One potent green tea supplement that has continued to maintain attention is Natures Answer brand Green Tea Extract in an Alcohol-Free Liquid Extract. Packed with powerful antioxidants, this supplement can aid in digestion, weight management, and overall well-being.
Powerful Antioxidant
Antioxidants are substances that inhibit oxidation, a process that can lead to cellular damage. They act as scavengers, helping shield the body from harmful free radicals, which are unstable molecules that can inflict damage to our cells. This is where green tea, and particularly green tea extract, shines. Rich in antioxidants known as polyphenols, green tea plays a significant role in maintaining the body's overall health. Polyphenols, including flavonoids and catechins, are known for their potent antioxidant effects. The most notable catechin in green tea is Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), widely studied for its powerful impact on health. Green tea's antioxidants help neutralize harmful free radicals, reducing oxidative stress, and subsequently lowering the risk of a host of chronic conditions including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and even certain cancers. Thus, the antioxidants in green tea aren't just important, they're an integral part of a health-conscious lifestyle.
Boost Immune System
Green tea boosts immunity through its potent bioactive compounds, primarily polyphenols like catechins. These compounds exhibit powerful antioxidant properties, neutralizing harmful free radicals in the body. Additionally, they help increase the body's production of detoxifying enzymes, further enhancing the immune system's efficiency. Green tea also contains a type of catechin called Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), renowned for its immune-boosting properties. EGCG aids in the production of T-cells, the body's first line of defense against infections. Furthermore, green tea fosters beneficial gut bacteria, which play a crucial role in maintaining a robust immune system.
Promotes Weight Loss
Green tea extract works to accelerate weight loss primarily through its active ingredients, one of which is caffeine. Although not as much as coffee, green tea does contain sufficient caffeine that can aid in fat burning and improving exercise performance. More importantly, it is loaded with potent antioxidants called catechins. The most important of these is Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), a substance that can boost metabolism. Studies suggest that the combination of EGCG and caffeine in green tea extract can assist in weight loss by helping the body burn more calories, even at rest, and breaking down more fat cells. Additionally, green tea extract is known to increase fat oxidation and improve insulin sensitivity, both beneficial for weight control. While the effects on each individual can vary, when combined with a balanced diet and regular exercise, green tea extract can indeed support and accelerate weight loss efforts.
Impacts Central Nervous System
Green tea extract is known to have profound effects on the central nervous system, primarily due to the presence of caffeine and an amino acid called L-theanine. Caffeine, a known stimulant, works by blocking an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain called Adenosine. This increases the firing of neurons and the concentration of neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine, leading to improved brain function, mood, vigilance, reaction times, and even memory. On the other hand, L-theanine can cross the blood-brain barrier and has been shown to increase the activity of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA, which has anti-anxiety effects. It also increases dopamine and the production of alpha waves in the brain. The unique combination of these two compounds in green tea extract is believed to make it an excellent tool for maintaining and enhancing the central nervous system.
Improve Mental Efficiency
Green tea improves mental efficiency through several biological mechanisms. Primarily, it contains caffeine and L-theanine, two compounds known to enhance brain function. Caffeine, a known stimulant, works by blocking an inhibitory neurotransmitter called adenosine, which not only increases the firing of neurons but also amplifies the concentration of other neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine. This results in improved brain function, vigilance, reaction times, memory recall, and mood.
On the other hand, L-theanine is an amino acid that can cross the blood-brain barrier and has psychoactive properties. It promotes relaxation without drowsiness and can work synergistically with caffeine to enhance brain function. Furthermore, L-theanine increases the frequency of alpha waves in the brain, which leads to improved creativity and problem-solving abilities.
Moreover, green tea is rich in polyphenols and antioxidants, particularly Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), which has protective effects on neurons, potentially lowering the risk of neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Hence, regular consumption of green tea or its extract can significantly improve mental efficiency.
Promotes Heart Health
Natures Answer Green Tea Extract Alcohol-Free Extract can help you maintain healthy cholesterol levels, reduce high blood pressure, and prevent blood clot formation that can lead to heart diseases. The polyphenol and catechin compounds in green tea extract are known to promote the health of the heart by reducing inflammation and improving blood vessels' function. Green tea maintains healthy cholesterol levels by inhibiting the absorption of cholesterol in the digestive tract and aiding in its excretion. This leads to a reduced level of LDL (bad cholesterol) in the bloodstream, while not affecting the levels of HDL (good cholesterol). Green tea extract can also lower blood pressure. The catechins it contains help to dilate blood vessels, improving their function and allowing blood to flow more easily. This can lead to a significant reduction in blood pressure, especially in cases of hyperTension.
Furthermore, studies have shown that the antioxidants in green tea can prevent the oxidation of LDL cholesterol, a process that contributes to the formation of plaques in arteries and blood clot formation. By preventing this oxidation, green tea extract can reduce the risk of heart diseases and strokes.
Lastly, the anti-inflammatory nature of green tea's antioxidants helps in reducing inflammation in blood vessels, a condition that can contribute to heart disease. By reducing inflammation, blood flow improves, and the risk of heart disease decreases. In this way, green tea actively promotes heart health.
In conclusion, Natures Answer Green Tea Extract is an all-in-one supplement that can enhance your overall health and well-being in various ways. The antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and weight management properties of this supplement can do wonders for your physical, neurological, and mental health. Incorporating Natures Answer green tea (alcohol free) liquid extract into your daily routine can help you unlock the multiple benefits that this tea has to offer. So, go ahead, give it a try, and reap the benefits of this powerful supplement!

Why Your Sodium to Potassium Ratio Is Important
Date:
August 04, 2023 02:09 PM
Author: Darrell Miller
(support@vitanetonline.com)
Subject: Why Your Sodium to Potassium Ratio Is Important
The typical Western diet is largely comprised of processed foods, which are notoriously high in processed table salt. This results in an imbalance in the sodium to potassium ratio, a significant health concern. Sodium is necessary for a variety of bodily functions; however, too much can be detrimental, leading to hyperTension and other cardiovascular diseases. Simultaneously, potassium is often neglected, despite its crucial role in muscle function, nerve signaling, and balancing fluids.
The general dietary advice suggests a potassium to sodium intake ratio of 3:1. However, the reality in diets, particularly those in America, often sees this ratio inverted. The excessive sodium consumption is linked to a myriad of health complications, including high blood pressure and heart disease. Conversely, potassium, a mineral that aids in nerve function and muscle control, is consumed in insufficient quantities. This is a troubling trend that underscores the importance of dietary change towards natural, unprocessed foods.
The importance of potassium is often overshadowed by the emphasis on limiting sodium for reducing chronic disease risk factors. Potassium plays an essential role in maintaining healthy blood pressure levels by counteracting the effects of sodium. Furthermore, the mineral is crucial for other functions like heart and muscle cell functioning, nerve transmission, and maintaining fluid balance.
A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine discovered that individuals with the lowest risk for heart complications or death from any cause were those consuming between four to six grams of sodium per day. This is a fascinating discovery, as this intake is significantly higher than the U.S. daily recommended limits. It suggests a need for a reconsideration of current sodium intake guidelines.
Another consideration to balance the sodium-potassium ratio is the type of salt consumed. Unprocessed, natural salts like sea salt and Himalayan salt contain higher potassium levels compared to standard table salt. These natural salts provide a variety of minerals and trace elements that contribute to our overall health and wellness. It's crucial to note that switching to natural salt should be part of a broader shift towards a diet rich in fresh, unprocessed foods.
Why You Should Focus on Increasing Potassium
While it's beneficial to monitor and moderate sodium intake, it's equally important to shift our focus towards increasing potassium consumption. Potassium-rich foods, such as leafy green vegetables, bananas, potatoes, and beans, not only contribute to a well-rounded and nutritious diet but also help in maintaining an optimal sodium-potassium balance in the body. A high potassium intake can counteract the effects of sodium, aiding in blood pressure regulation and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, an elevated potassium level supports various bodily functions, including nerve transmission, muscle contraction, and fluid balance. Thus, prioritizing potassium intake forms a cornerstone for an overall healthier dietary approach. It is recommended that individuals consume 5 grams of potassium daily and potassium to salt ratio should be 2 to 1. To boost potassium intake, one can take a potassium supplement or add the following foods to their diet or both: Watermelon, Orange juice, Boiled red potatoes, Avocado, Bananas, Cantaloupe, Oranges, Coconut water, Tomatoes, Yogurt, Winter squash, and Wild-caught salmon.
Why Low-Salt Advice Can Be Harmful
Contrary to popular belief, adhering to low-salt advice can sometimes pose risks to certain individuals. While it is true that excessive sodium intake can lead to high blood pressure and heart problems, sodium still plays a vital role in our bodies. It assists in nerve conduction, muscle contraction, and maintaining the body's fluid balance.
In fact, low sodium levels in the body, a condition known as hyponatremia, can lead to symptoms such as headache, nausea, fatigue, and in severe cases, coma or even death. Moreover, a low-salt diet may lead to increased levels of cholesterol and triglycerides, hormonal imbalances and insulin resistance. This can potentially elevate the risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
Low-salt diets can also exacerbate the risk of certain health conditions. For instance, individuals with conditions like Addison's disease or certain kidney disorders, where the body struggles to maintain a balance of electrolytes, might find a low-salt diet harmful.
Therefore, it is crucial to balance the intake of sodium, considering both the potential risks associated with too much, or too little, sodium. The key is to consume sodium from natural and unprocessed sources, such as Himalayan salt, fruits, vegetables, grains, and lean meats, which also provide a host of other nutrients necessary for overall health. As with most things in nutrition, moderation and balance seem to hold the answer rather than extreme restriction. The RDA - recommended daily allowance of sodium is 3.5 grams. It is advised to consume 3.5 grams of natural salt each day by way of foods or combination of foods plus Himalayan salt to reach that goal.
The Impact of Excessive Salt Intake on Certain Health Conditions
While moderate salt intake is vital for normal physiological functions, its excessive consumption can have detrimental effects, particularly for individuals with certain health conditions. For instance, endocrine disorders, high aldosterone levels, Cushing's syndrome, and elevated cortisol levels can all heighten the body's sensitivity to sodium, making it even more essential to monitor and limit salt intake.
Endocrine disorders, which involve imbalances in the body's hormone production, can often lead to increased sodium retention, exacerbating issues of water retention and swelling. Similarly, high aldosterone levels, a hormone that regulates sodium and potassium balance, can cause the body to retain excessive sodium, leading to high blood pressure and potential damage to the cardiovascular system.
Cushing's syndrome, a condition characterized by excessive cortisol production, can lead to a host of symptoms, including high blood pressure and rapid weight gain, both of which can be intensified by high sodium intake. The excessive cortisol found in Cushing's syndrome promotes sodium retention, further elevating the risk for hyperTension.
Similarly, elevated cortisol levels, even outside of Cushing's syndrome, can lead to heightened sodium retention, contributing to high blood pressure, fluid retention, and an imbalance of electrolytes. Therefore, individuals with these conditions should be particularly mindful of their sodium intake.
In these scenarios, reducing salt consumption can help mitigate the associated health risks and symptoms. Switching to a diet rich in whole, unprocessed foods, and taking conscious steps to limit the use of added table salt can play a crucial role in managing these health conditions. As always, it is essential to seek personalized advice from a healthcare professional, as individual needs may vary.
In summary, while salt is often villainized in the health community, its consumption, especially from natural sources, is vital for maintaining bodily functions like nerve conduction, muscle contraction, and fluid balance. However, excessive or inadequate sodium intake can have adverse health effects, such as hyperTension, imbalances in cholesterol and triglycerides, and even hyponatremia in severe cases. Certain health conditions, including endocrine disorders, high aldosterone levels, Cushing's syndrome, and elevated cortisol levels, can also exacerbate these risks, making it crucial for individuals with these conditions to carefully monitor their salt intake. On the other hand, increasing potassium intake can help maintain an optimal sodium-potassium balance, reducing blood pressure and lowering the risk of cardiovascular diseases. In a nutshell, moderation and balance are key in sodium consumption, but the emphasis should be on consuming more potassium-rich foods to ensure your potassium intake is higher than sodium levels which will ensure a healthier dietary approach.

Subject: N Acetyl Cysteine: A Decades-Old Remedy With Many Uses
Did you know that N Acetyl Cysteine has been around for decades? This powerful supplement was first discovered in the 1950s and has been used as a remedy for many health issues since then. We will discuss the many benefits of N Acetyl Cysteine and how you can start using it to improve your health!
Glutathione and aging
As we age, our natural levels of glutathione tend to decline. This is a major cause of many of the negative effects associated with the aging process, including reduced energy and slower recovery times after illness or injury. Fortunately, there are steps that we can take to increase our levels of glutathione, thus slowing down the aging process and keeping us feeling young and vibrant for longer. Some of these steps include eating a healthy diet rich in antioxidant-rich foods like fruits and vegetables, engaging in regular physical activity to improve circulation, and reducing stress levels through relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation. With these strategies in place, we can help to keep our bodies strong, boost our energy levels, and stay young well into old age. Fortunately, there is a supplement that could help, it is called N Acetyl Cysteine, this substance is a precursor to Glutathione and has been shown to boost glutathione levels.
What is N Acetyl Cysteine and what are its benefits?
N acetyl cysteine has been used as a supplement for many years, and its popularity is likely due to the many benefits it offers. The main function of this compound is to promote the production of glutathione, a powerful antioxidant that protects our bodies from oxidative stress and harmful free radicals. In addition, n acetyl cysteine has been shown to help reduce symptoms of certain mental health disorders, including anxiety and depression. Furthermore, studies have found that n acetyl cysteine may lower blood pressure and improve heart health by increasing blood flow and improving blood vessel function. Overall, it is clear that n acetyl cysteine has been an effective nutrient for many years and continues to be widely used by those looking for an easy way to support their health.
How can you start using N Acetyl Cysteine to improve your health?
N acetyl cysteine (NAC) is a powerful antioxidant that can help to protect cells from damage. It has been shown to be particularly effective in guarding against liver damage, and is often used as a treatment for hepatitis C. NAC can also help to improve lung function and relieve respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and asthma. In addition, NAC has been shown to boost levels of glutathione, which is a key molecule involved in detoxification. As a result, NAC can help to cleanse the body of harmful toxins and pollutants. NAC is available in supplement form, and can be taken orally or intravenously. It is generally well tolerated, with mild side effects such as nausea and vomiting occasionally reported. When taking NAC supplements, it is important to start with a lower dose and increase gradually as tolerated. Those with pre-existing medical conditions should always speak to their doctor before taking any new supplement. Overall, NAC is a safe and effective way to improve your health and protect your cells from damage.
What is the recommended daily dosage for N Acetyl Cysteine per day?
The standard recommended dosage for N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) is 600 mg per day. However, some studies have used dosages as high as 2,400 mg per day. The most common side effect of NAC is nausea, which can be minimized by taking the supplement with food. NAC is also sometimes used as a treatment for chronic bronchitis, and the recommended dosage for this condition is 1,200 mg per day. When used for this purpose, NAC is typically taken in divided doses of 600 mg twice per day. There is currently no consensus on the optimal dosage of NAC for any particular condition, and further research is needed to determine the ideal dosage for different applications. In acute circumstances, one might need 4000mg to 6000mgs daily in divided dosages, always work your way up to higher dosages as needed.
What are some of the most common uses for this supplement?
There are many different uses for NAC, or N-acetyl cysteine. This potent antioxidant supplement has been found to be effective in addressing a wide range of health concerns, including asthma and COPD, chronic sinusitis, liver disease, and particularly serious conditions such as cancer. Additionally, NAC has been shown to provide support for the immune system in general and may also serve as a detoxifying agent by helping to eliminate waste products like heavy metals from the body. Overall, there are numerous benefits to using NAC as part of a well-balanced diet. Whether you are looking to improve your respiratory health or strengthen your immune system, this versatile supplement can help you achieve your goals.
NAC composition
NAC, or N-acetyl cysteine, is a complex compound that is composed of various amino acids, including glutamate, glycine, and cysteine. These specific amino acids all play important roles in the function of NAC and affect its many beneficial properties. For example, glutamate increases metabolism and energy levels, while glycine promotes tissue healing and regeneration. Cysteine, on the other hand, facilitates the transport of oxygen and serves as a natural antioxidant. When taken together, these different components work synergistically to promote overall health and wellbeing by supporting key physiological processes such as digestion and immune response. Whether taken as a supplement or consumed through food sources like eggs and milk products, NAC is a versatile substance that is vital to many aspects of our daily health and well-being.
NAC and liver health
N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) is a compound that has numerous benefits for liver health. Studies have shown that NAC can help to protect the liver from damage caused by alcohol and other toxins. It does this by helping to replenish levels of glutathione, a key antioxidant that helps to detoxify the liver. NAC also helps to reduce inflammation and improve blood flow to the liver. As a result, it can be an effective treatment for both acute and chronic Liver diseases. In addition, NAC has been shown to improve the overall health of people with Liver cirrhosis. Consequently, N-Acetyl-Cysteine is a compound that has many benefits for liver health and should be considered as part of any comprehensive treatment plan.
NAC, its sulfur content, and mucus elimination
NAC, or N-acetyl cysteine, is a sulfur-containing amino acid that plays an important role in mucus production and elimination. The sulfur content of NAC helps to thin mucus and make it less sticky, making it easier to clear from the lungs. In addition, NAC helps to break down mucus and remove it from the body. As a result, NAC is often used as a supplement to treat respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). NAC is typically taken in the form of capsules or tablets, and the recommended dose depends on the individual. However, side effects are rare and generally mild, making NAC a safe and effective option for those seeking to improve their respiratory health.
N Acetyl Cysteine may lower blood pressure
One of these is its ability to lower blood pressure. A review of several studies found that N-acetyl cysteine was effective at reducing blood pressure in people with hyperTension. In one study, participants who took N-acetyl cysteine had an average reduction in systolic blood pressure of 9.5 mmHg, compared to those who took a placebo. Other studies have shown similar results, suggesting that N-acetyl cysteine may be an effective treatment for high blood pressure. While more research is needed to confirm these findings, N-acetyl cysteine may offer a safe and natural way to lower blood pressure.
N Acetyl Cysteine may help blood clots - thrombosis
Blood clots are a necessary part of the body's natural healing process. They help to stop bleeding by sealing off damaged blood vessels. However, sometimes blood clots can form in healthy blood vessels, causing a potentially deadly condition called thrombosis. N Acetyl Cysteine is a compound that helps to break up blood clots and prevent thrombosis. It works by preventing the formation of a protein that is essential for clotting. In addition, N Acetyl Cysteine helps to improve the flexibility of blood vessels, making them less likely to rupture. As a result, this compound may help to reduce the risk of thrombosis and improve overall cardiovascular health.

Subject: No to Pain Pills and Yes to Safe and Effective Curcumin
Many people turn to over the counter (OTC) drugs when they experience pain, the common ones are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, better known as NSAIDS. The problem with NSAIDS these drugs reduce an enzyme associated with pain called COX-1 and COX-2. There are a lot of hidden dangers behind prescription and OTC pain killers. Some of the most common ones consumed are Ibuprofen an d Acetaminophen.
Ibuprofen: a popular OTC pain reliever can cause stomach pain, nausea, gastric bleeding, ulcers, confusion, hyperTension, increased heart attack and stroke. Also, swelling, rapid weight gain, reduced urination, which is a sign of kidney dysfunction, kidney failure, fever, sore throat, headache, rash, bruising, tingling, numbness, muscle weakness, neck stiffness, chills, light sensitivity, and seizures.
Acetaminophen: also known as Tylenol, is classified as an NSAID, but is also unsafe. The number one cause of liver failure in the United States is caused by acetaminophen next to alcohol consumption. If combined with alcohol, the damage to the liver is increased significantly. It also depletes glutathione, an important antioxidant needed by the liver to protect and detoxify the body. Over use of this OTC drug can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal tenderness, and it can interfere with blood clotting, weaken kidney function, and with severe over dose can cause death.
The alternative: Curcumin is a safe and effective pain reliever
Curcumin is a compound from Turmeric Root, unstandardized turmeric powder contains only two to three percent curcumin. It is important to get a standardized curcumin so that you can get a therapeutic response from consuming this herb. Not all curcumin is the same, look for a brand that blends turmeric essential oil with curcumin to enhance the absorption of the product because the product is hard to absorb.
Curcumin is one of the worlds best studied herbs, it works by reducing a COX-2 response to inflammation the same target as many prescription and OTC drugs that cause organ damage and side effects. Fortunately, Curcumin can target the same in a safe and natural way with no side effects. It can prevent a wide spectrum of inflammatory and oxidative damage, relieve chronic pain as effective and much more safely than drugs like NSAIDs.
Taking OTC or prescription pain relieving drugs are not a long term solution for pain. With the side effects associated with common pain relievers, one should only take them as a last resort and consider using a safer alternative that is as effective to relieving pain. Terry Naturally offers BCM-95 a patented curcumin that is blended with turmeric essential oils, BCM-95 has been the subject of many clinical studies demonstrating its effectiveness in relieving pain. We at VitaNet offer free shipping on any product in Terry’s brand. If you are struggling with pain, consider trying Terry Naturally to help relieve pain safely.

Subject: Zinc supplementation can benefit individuals with erectiledysfunction, reveals study
Researchers recommend men having erectile dysfunction to be taking diets and supplements rich in zinc. This is because it has been discovered that the element can improve the proper functioning of the penis. Erectile dysfunction comes about when a man is unable to have and sustain an erection. It is often attributable to chronic health problems like hypertension or a consequence of stress disorders like depression. The treatment for erectile dysfunction takes two conventional approaches. One approach is to concentrate on the health issue that caused the problem. But the drawback of this approach is that it takes time and effort. The other approach is using drugs that will help to start and sustain an erection. One of such drugs is Viagra. The drawback of approaches using drugs is that these drugs can have unwanted side effects. But natural supplements such as horny goat weed and vitamin D supplements have also been found effective in treating erectile dysfunction. It has been found that people who are deficient in zinc are more prone to changes in their physiology and can easily get erectile dysfunction. It can also result in weakening of the immune system. That is why zinc is recommended for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. By the way, it is low risk and high reward form of treatment. - When a man has erectile dysfunction, doctors suggest that he takes adequate amounts of zinc in the diet because it can restore the proper functioning of the penis.
- Two treatment approaches exist for erectile dysfunction and one approach is to treat the health problem that caused the problem in the first place.
- Pharmaceutical drugs like Viagra that can be used to treat erectile dysfunction are not very good for the body because they often cause side effects.
"It is often a secondary effect of either chronic health problems like hypertension or stress disorders such as depression." Read more: https://www.naturalnews.com/2019-04-16-zinc-supplementation-can-benefit-individuals-with-erectile-dysfunction.html

Astragalus is known in Chinese medicine because it has been used by the Chinese for centuries as a medicinal herb. Recent researchers have backed up the healing claims of the plant. In a new study that was done in China, Chinese researchers have discovered that polysaccharide extracts from astragalus can be effective against pulmonary arterial hypertension. To carry out the study they fed rats with monocrotaline in order to induce pulmonary arterial hypertension in them. Then they gave the rats 200 milligrams per kilogram of astragalus polysaccharides once in every two days for a period of two weeks. The results were positive. It was found that the polysaccharides of astragalus reduced the hypertension of the pulmonary artery induced by monocrotaline in rats. There were other benefits that were discovered. The treatment with the polysaccharide of astragalus also eliminated oxidative stress, promoted vasodilation, and reduced inflammation in the rats. All these suggest that astragalus lowers the blood pressure in individuals. The findings of the study were then published in the American Journal of Chinese Medicine with the authors stating that astragalus can be used to eliminate symptoms of pulmonary arterial hypertension in individuals. - Astragalus is also known as huang qi and it has been used in Chinese medicine for hundreds of years while its beneficial effects has been backed up by research.

Subject: How does poor gut health affect vitamin C and E in metabolicsyndrome? - Medical News Bulletin
Metabolic syndrome involves a combination of at least three out of five conditions — hypertension, abdominal obesity, low “good cholesterol,” and excessively high fasting blood glucose and serum triglyceride scores. Metabolic syndrome is a major public health concern, given that more than a third of American adults have it. Recent studies suggest that eating too much saturated fat can imbalance the bacteria in the gut. This results over time in oxidative stress and inflammation that can deplete the body’s stockpiles of vitamins C and E, and also make it harder to absorb more vitamin C from food to replace what has been used up. Vitamins C and E play an important role in protecting against oxidative stress. - Metabolic syndrome can lead to heart disease, type 2 diabetes and other serious conditions.
- The American Heart association defines metabolic syndrome as abdominal obesity, raised serum triglycerides, low HDL, high blood pressure or raised fasting blood glucose.
- Vitamin C and E are vital to the body's immune system and work to prevent metabolic syndrome through regular consumption of fruits and vegetables.

Diabetes is a serious and chronic condition, which as it progresses can wreak havoc on an array of bodily systems. One potential victim of the havoc is the kidneys. They endure a great deal of oxidative stress in a body that is constantly fighting the effects of diabetes. This ongoing stress overtime does damage the kidneys and can eventually destroy them The condition of oxidative stress endured by kidneys functioning under an ongoing onslaught of diabetic effects is known as diabetic nephropathy. In a worse case scenario it can lead to total renal failure. The organic tuber, Indian Kudzu, is an Aryuvedic medicine staple, besides housing a wealth of antioxidants. Researchers from a Banaras Hindu University recently decided see whether the oxidative power of Indian Kudzu might be able to stand tall against the stress endured by kidneys undergoing diabetic onslaught, thereby protecting them from the ravages of the stress. The study, which used rodent subjects, proved that though oxidative stress in the diabetic rodent subjects was high, the kudzu was able to reduce or reverse some of the damage, due in part to its ability to improve human antioxidant enzyme activity. - Diabetes can have many negative effects, including diabetic nephropathy, which can damage and even destroy the kidneys.
- The condition is caused by oxidative stress, a state that regular consumption of the Indian Kudzu can help slow down and block, making it an effective adjunct to hypertension protocols.
- The premise that the Kudzu would prove protective was upheld in a study done at A Banaras Hindu University that made use of rodent subjects.
"The tubers are a treasure trove of antioxidants that reduce the effects of oxidative stress and reactive oxygen species related to aging and various ailments." Read more: https://www.naturalnews.com/2018-11-06-indian-kudzu-for-diabetics-it-keeps-kidneys-healthy.html

Subject: Why you need sodium, and how much is necessary?
Why you need sodium, and how much is necessary – too much or too little causes health issues Even though sodium is required for basic survival, over half of Americans consume too much of it, largely because it is so heavily used in processed foods. Too much sodium can cause a number of symptoms, including swelling from water retention, excessive thirst, brain fog, and hypertension. On the other hand, too little sodium (hyponatremia) is also dangerous to your health, especially To cardiac function. To keep your sodium within healthy limits, it’s important to really know what’s in your food, and avoid processed foods as much as possible. - The FDA recommends that you consume about a teaspoon of salt every day.
- Most of the salt we consume comes via processed foods, not from the salt shaker on our tables.
- If you want to consume less sodium, learn to read labels and be especially careful when ordering food at restaurants.

Hemp growing in midstate after outlawed for decades Pen State Extension is performing groundbreaking research into the cultivation of five varieties of hemp, marking the first legal cultivation in the area for 80 years. Hemp is a close relative of marijuana, and this was enough to get it banned even though it does not contain psychoactive THC and has a wide variety of legitimate uses. However, a 2014 Farm Bill legalized growth of industrial hemp for research purposes. Penn State Extensions’s researchers will look at how well different varieties will grow, although they note there is not yet a robust supply chain in place for farmers to sell their hemp. - Researchers from Penn State Extension are growing five different varieties of hemp.

6 Steps to Get Your Cortisol Levels Under Control & Turn Down the Stress Cortisol is a hormone that is released whenever we are under intense levels of stress. Whenever you are in a situation that causes extreme tension, your brain reacts with what is called a, "fight or flight" response. This response is what contributes to heightened cortisol levels. Elevated cortisol can lead to various health conditions, so it is important to keep it regulated by consuming an anti-inflammatory diet, and by participating in activities that reduce stress such as meditation. - To keep your cortisol levels low, switch to a diet that is low in processed foods and high in nutrients, antioxidants, and fiber.
- Relieve stress with techniques such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, acupuncture, and spending time with nature.
- Be sure to exercise regularly and get enough sleep to keep your hormones in balance.
"Although most think of cortisol as a bad thing — such as contributing to acne, weight gain or high blood pressure — there’s actually a lot more to cortisol levels than just our stress response and its unwanted symptoms." Read more: https://draxe.com/cortisol-levels/

Hibiscus extracts can be used to provide natural food coloring WITH health benefits While the hibiscus is known as a very ornamental bloom, gracing many gardens, it has an economic role to play as well, serving as a product of high significance in both the food and cosmetic industries. This dual nature of the plant arises from the fact that the hibiscus is both highly nutritious and also the source of a safe coloring agent that can be used even in foods.
The periodical, 'Food Science and Human WellnessWellness', explored the viability of hibiscus-generated food coloring for cupcakes and found the resulting product to be both cost-effective and 'clean, ' with the added benefit of adding necessary flavonoids into the human diet. These anthocyanins, aside from the nourishment they provide, appear to be linked with the easing of numerous health complaints, including, hypertension, inflammatory conditions, coughing and excess weight. - The Helwan University of Egypt recently funded a research study to evaluate the hibiscus calyces extract and it's perceived, biochemical and sensory effect on the properties of functional cupcakes.
- Studies have affirmed that drinkers of Hibiscus tea had decreased blood pressure after a consistent month long use of the tea.
- Because it has both anti-inflammatory and antibacterial capabikities, hibiscus is an ingredient promoted for the ammelioration of cough and cold symptoms.

Fizer understands this and they are making sure things go well for many people by creating different things they can use to combat their poor health. - If you see foods promoting their fiber content like yogurt, snack bars, and ice cream that don’t normally contain fiber
- you should steer clear. You’re much better off getting your fiber from real food, not man-manipulated food.

Subject: Study: Single Dose Of CBD Shown To Reduce Blood Pressure
A recent study conducted at the University of Nottingham in England has shown that a single dose of Cannabidiol can effectively lower blood pressure for individuals that are suffering from high blood pressure. This is great news, considering Cannabidiol is a non-addictive, natural medication. It is also an amazing breakthrough because this means that it can treat many other cardiovascular disorders, not just hypertension. Cannabidiol is believed to be a neuroprotectant that can help prevent cardiovascular disease and stroke, in addition to lowering an elevated heart rate. - CBD may help prevent cardiovascular disease, specifically by lowering systolic blood pressure.
- Patients who received one oral dose had an average of 5-7 mmHg drop in systolic blood pressure.
- CBD may help reduce cardiovascular risk in other ways- like being a vasodilator and protecting neurons that regulate heartbeat.
"Nearly 75 million adults in the United States suffer from hypertension, or high blood pressure. That means around 32 percent of the population is at an increased risk for heart disease and stroke. It’s very promising that CBD has the possibility of reducing and preventing certain cardiovascular disorders." Insulin and disease

Subject: Insulin and disease
Many health problems, and especially cancer and heart disease are caused by an imbalance of insulin, due to poor diet. We eat far too much sugar and too many carbohydrates. This leads to insulin resistance, which, in turn, leads to heart disease, high triglycerides, high cholesterol, osteoporosis, and diabetes. It also raises blood pressure because when we are insulin resistant our bodies cannot store magnesium, which is needed to relax the walls of the blood vessels. Dr. Michael Cutler has written a book, "The Insulin Factor" which explains how to get your insulin back in balance, through diet. This will help us to live longer, healthier lives. - Excessive eating disrupts the body’s metabolic system and produces conditions which can lead to cancer and cardiovascular disease
- Insulin problems lay at the root of most serious health conditions, including cancer, diabetes, hypertension, and more.
- Insulin problems are directly related to the problems associated with aging, and determine how our bodies age over time
"Centenarian studies show no health consistency at all except that all the centenarians have relatively low insulin (sugar) for their age and they all have low triglycerides for their age." Subject: The Benefits of CBD Oil as a Dietary Supplement
An entertainment website has a feature on the good uses that Cannabidiol, or CBD, has. The feature states that CBD is legal although it is derived from cannabis. The writer alleges the federal government has not acknowledged CBD as a supplement for diet because of the association with an illegal substance The writer states that CBD is good as an aid for sleeping and digestion, can reduce anxiety, and is a pain reliever. The story concludes that this substance should receive FDA approval. - CBD oil has many health related benefits that have been proven with scientific research.
- The FDA will not recognize CBD oil as a dietary supplement because certain types of cannabis are illegal.
- CBD oil works many things, including a digestive aid, a pain reliever, a sleep aid, an anxiety aid, and can also help eating disorders.
"Any type of cannabis is still illegal on a federal level and although CBD is not the psychoactive compound in the plant and is legal for sale, there is that tension that needs to be resolved prior to accepting the validity of CBD research." It is one that is oftentimes treated with medications and lifestyle changes, but now, people suffering from this condition have another treatment option. CBD is now recommended as an anxiety treatment option. It is all natural, and offers outstanding results. CBD may provide the answer that you have been searching for if you're dealing with an anxiety order that makes it difficult to maintain your lifestyle. - Anxiety disorder can be safely treated with CBD because it contains low to no levels of THC.

Subject: CBD and MS: Can Marijuana Treat Multiple Sclerosis?
Although cannabis is still illegal on a federal level, more states have been passing laws to make this miracle plant available to those in medical need (and some even recreational). Cannabis has been shown to greatly help people who are suffering with MS by treating some of the symptoms (inflammation, pain, sleep deprivation, and even depression). It has also been noticed to have a preventive factor when it comes to protecting the eyesight of the patient. - MS affects the central nervous system, the brain, the spinal cord and the optic nerve.
- CBD can stop MS from progressing and induce healing of MS symptoms.
- CBD also helps with inflammation, sleeplessness, and depression. Furthermore it helps with the pain and releases muscle tension.
"As the many benefits of marijuana continue to be discovered across the country, more and more states are deciding to legalize the plant for both recreational and medicinal use. One of the disorders that is considered treatable by medical marijuana is Multiple Sclerosis (MS)." The vagus nerve is the longest nerve strand in the body. This nerve performs many necessary functions. The tone of the vagus nerve is essential to the functioning of your nervous system. High vagus tone improves overall body functioning. Low vagus tone is associated with serious health conditions like stroke and hypertension. Inflammatory conditions, including autoimmune disorders, are also reported to be caused by low tone in the vagus nerve. There are several easy ways to improve vagus nerve tone and overall body functioning and immune health. - Stimulating the vagus nerve can relieve inflammation especially from debilitating rheumatoid arthritis.
- The vagus nerve is the body's longest nerve reaching from the brain to the digestive system, liver, spleen, pancreas, heart, and lungs.
- An increased vagal tone has a positive health impact on your body.

Subject: Medical News Today: Prebiotics could stop stress from harming sleep quality
Anyone who has ever gone through a stressful time in life knows that it is almost impossible to turn off the tension at the end of the night and get a good night’s sleep. There’s good news though. Researchers believe they have a new finding which will help you. In a study, some rats were given prebiotics, a non-digestible food component found in celery, artichokes, onions, and other vegetables. The rats fed the prebiotic diet experienced more rapid eye movement sleep than the group that ate the control diet. REM is associated with speedier recovery from stress. - Adults should get between 7 and 9 hours sleep each night for good health.
- Studies have shown that stress can alter gut bacteria and interfere with going to sleep and waking up.
- A diet rich in prebiotics beginning in early life can help the sleeping patterns.
"Approximately 47 percent of adults in the United States report a lack of sleep due to stress, and 21 percent report that poor sleep further exacerbates their stress." Subject: Your daily coffee will help to slow down ageing, study shows
New research has shown that coffee may be better for us than we thought. A recent study in Nature Medicine found that older people with lower levels of inflammation had drunk more caffeine at a younger age. With inflammation being thought to be one of the main causes behind chronic aging and certain diseases, it is no wonder that some are hailing it as an anti-aging solution. The people in the study who had the lowest levels of inflammation had consumed more than five cups of coffee a day. Key Takeaways: - Drinking THIS every day will help you look younger and slow down the ageing process. It’s the age-old question researchers have been arguing over for decades.
- New research proves we can finally quash those claims as it turns out coffee may be better for us than we thought.
- A recently study published in the journal Nature Medicine found older people with lower levels of inflammation – the cause of most major diseases – had one thing in common: they were all caffeine drinkers.

A study has published that caffeine could reduce cardiovascular disease risk factors. So caffeine may actually be more beneficial to you then you thought. In their studies researchers found that the metabolites boosted activity in one of the inflammatory gene clusters. That, in turn, caused the immune cells to produce more IL-1ß. When injected into mice, the substances triggered widespread inflammation and hyperTension. Key Takeaways: - Caffeine may help reduce the type of inflammation that's linked to cardiovascular disease risk factors,
- David Furman, Ph.D., of the Stanford University School of Medicine in California, and colleagues studied data on healthy participants ages 20 to 30 and another group older than 60.

Subject: Can diet pills help you lose weight?
There is a small minority of people that find diet pills helpful along with a diet and exercise program. When it comes to diet pill options, some of the limited prescription options include two drugs that are FDA approved for longer term use for weight loss in general. Some of the over counter remedies include Ephedrine, Chitosan, as well as a few others. However when it comes down due it while drugs offer an answer to part of the weight loss problem, exercise is also a crucial part of weight loss. Key Takeaways: - Everyone knows that a combination of diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight. But many of us have tried this, over and over again, without lasting success.
- The Food and Drug Administration treats obesity drugs differently than it does other drugs.
- People report they feel full and more energetic. Because it can increase blood pressure, it must not be used in people with hyperTension, and blood pressure must be regularly monitored while using the medication.

According to a study by the University of Illinois, eating foods rich in lutein like many leafy greens and cruciferous vegetables, for example, will help promote a healthy aging brain. The study did not specify the amount of lutein that is needed for ultimate brain protection and only concluded that more levels of the vitamin meant a better chance at brain health preservation. If your brain health is poor, Collingridge says it could lead to other serious neurological conditions like developmental disorders right through to dementia. Key Takeaways: - Research also shows that lutein accumulates in the grey matter of brain regions known to underlie the preservation of cognitive function in healthy brain again.
- The University of Illinois study looked at 122 healthy people between the ages of 65 and 75. They were asked to solve problems and answer questions on a standard test of crystallized intelligence.

Benefits of stress management

Subject: Benefits of stress management
Mental Health can be overlooked in our everyday lives but it plays a huge role in our health. Our mental state can affect us in many ways both positively and negatively. This article will be discuss the importance of Mental Health with a concentration on stress management. Stress is a significant cause of mental illness today and although we can't eradicate it, we can manage it It is important to understand that not all stress is negative. Stress may occur prior to weddings, graduations, or even social gatherings, but no matter the source of stress, your bodies respond the same. Also, some stress is good for you in order to manage skills needed for survival such as fight or flight. Experts suggest a combination of physical, social, environmental, and psychological approaches to managing stress. When we are stressed, we encounter General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS). GAS is your complex physiological responses that happen as a result of the stress and has three phases. The first phase of GAS is the alarm phase. The alarm phase occurs when we sense there is a stressor present (Body doesn't sense whether it is a good or bad stressor), everything becomes heightened and hormones respond. The seconds phase of GAS is called the resistance phase. During the resistance phase your body resists stress to get your it back to homeostasis. If you can't rid the stress you move into exhaustion The last phase, exhaustion, occurs when your body is tired and can't fight anymore to get it back to homeostasis. Physical or emotional Tension is often a good indicator of stress. Below is a short list of symptoms from stress. - Tension and irritability
- Fear and anxiety about the future
- Difficulty making decisions
- Being numb to one's feelings
- Loss of interest in normal activities
- Loss of appetite
We all experience some level of stress on a regular basis but as I mentioned before, too much can be harmful to your body. Below I have listed ways in which you can deal with and reduce stress levels. Take Care of Yourself Taking care of yourself seems self-explanatory for many but as we enter the exhaustion phase our attention to self-care begins to decline. Eat a healthy diet, get plenty of sleep, treat yourself, and maintain your normal routine. Stay Active It is often said that exercise is the most underused stress reliever and this is 100% true. Working out forces you to take your mind off of the stressors and focus on what you are doing and nothing else. Get in a gym or go for a run to lower your stress levels. Social Support Being able to talk to someone during stressful times is very important. Connect with a friend or family member that you will listen to what you want to get off your mind. This can be very helpful for stress reduction. Avoid Alcohol or Drugs People often turn to drugs and alcohol in times of stress but fail to realize they only provide temporary relief. Once your "high" or "buzz" wears off, you will more than likely feel worse than before. Alcohol and drugs add to stress and do not help to reduce its impact. I hope this information helps you to recognize when you are stressed and how to handle it Stress is a serious issue that we tend to overlook. Stress is usually a catalyst for other illnesses such as anxiety to occur. In conclusion chamomile will help you zap stress and unwind and have healthy life.

High blood pressure, or hyperTension, is the leading cause of cardiovascular disease due to strain being put on the blood vessels and major organs of the body. Forty years ago, the main population to have the condition was the rich. These days, the poor make up a majority of the population with hyperTension. This is believed to mainly be due to poor diet. It is estimated that just over 1.1 billion people today have the condition, which is double that of 40 years ago. Key Takeaways: - The number of people with high blood pressure has almost doubled in 40 years to over 1.1 billion worldwide, scientists said on Wednesday.
- The increases are especially significant in Africa and South Asia, the researchers said, and could be partly due to poor nutrition in childhood.
- The condition is caused by a number of factors including having a diet high in salt and low in fruit and vegetables, and not taking enough exercise.

Subject: The Health Benefits of Grape Seed Extract
Grape seed extract is most commonly a waste product produced by the grape juice and winery industry. This is because grape seed extract doesn't go into finished drinks. Grape seed contains a wide variety of health-enhancing ingredients like protein, carbohydrates and lipids (healthy fats). Immune system A study done on healthy volunteers found that grape seed considerably increased the levels of antioxidants in the blood. So, another one of the benefits of grape seed is it helps boosts the immune system to fight against harmful compounds which may reduce the risk of chronic diseases including breast, stomach, colon, prostate and lung cancer. Vascular Endothelial Health
Grape seed extracts have been tied to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases partly due to the long association of grape wines with low prevalence of heart diseases among the French. Besides, there is a growing literature devoted to the health potential of grape seed concerning their positive effects on vascular endothelial growth factor, a type of protein that signals the development of new healthy blood vessels and improves the circulation of oxygen to tissues that suffer oxygen deprivation. High Blood Pressure Due to its antioxidant activity that may protect the blood vessels, grape seed extract could theoretically benefit people with high blood pressure. The UMMC points out that study in animals indicate that it's useful for this purpose. However, there are no human studies that have looked at grape seed extract's effect on hyperTension. High Cholesterol The Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center states that one study suggests that grape seed, when taken with chromium, may lower "bad" blood cholesterol. The UMMC describes grape seed extract's effects on blood cholesterol as "promising"; however, more research is needed to see if grape seed is beneficial for this purpose. Pancreas In one study, patients with chronic inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), grape seed extract showed promise. It appeared to significantly reduce the frequency and intensity of symptoms such as abdominal pain and nausea. This occurred even after conventional medications failed to help. These results are very preliminary and further studies will be needed to confirm these findings.

Is Your Blood Pressure Out Of Control? Eat beet roots!

Subject: Is Your Blood Pressure Out Of Control? Eat beet roots!
Today, one of the most serious conditions that people face is hyperTension, or as it is commonly known, high blood pressure. This is grave condition, that if not checked, can result to fatalities. This condition is mostly found in people who are over 40 years. However, it is not unlikely to find a teenager with hyperTension. This is a worrying trend which means that something must be done to prevent it. Luckily, there is a simple solution that people can apply to control this condition. To start with, it is important to understand what causes the condition so that one may know how to combat it. High blood pressure is primarily caused by the constriction of the arteries which makes it hard to pump blood. The arteries are thinner than the veins and this means that the blood in them is at a higher pressure than in the veins. Due to the narrowness, they are able to pump blood faster and for longer distances. When a person feeds on unhealthy food that is rich in cholesterol and other harmful substances, this causes a deposition of the harmful substances on the endothelium (the interior surface of the arteries). When this happens, the arteries become more constricted thus increasing the pressure of blood that flows in them (hence the term high blood pressure). When the pressure increases, there is insufficient supply of blood to vital organs of the body like the brain. When the brain is not supplied with enough nutrients in the blood, this could lead to brain damage or stroke that may cause paralysis. Again, to ensure enough blood gets to the brain, the heart is forced to pump blood faster. This overworks the heart which may lead to heart attacks. Heart attacks are usually fatal. There is therefore a need to unblock the heart vessels to ensure that blood flows easily. Nitric oxide is one of the best known remedy to people suffering from high blood pressure. It helps lower the blood pressure by unblocking the arteries. It has numerous benefits to the body especially in lowering the blood pressure. Arteries are able to release nitric oxide but as one advances in age, their effectiveness diminishes with time. Beet roots are a great source of nitric oxide. Eating lots of them will help supply your body with the nitric oxide it needs to unblock the arteries and thus lower the blood pressure. The whole beet root plant including the leave and the roots provides are rich source of nitric oxide. For those who don’t like eating it raw or cooked, they can juice it and still get the nutrients. Apart from lowering hyperTension, beet roots are also known to fight against cancer. These are enough reason why anyone should increase their intake of beet roots whether or not they are suffering from high blood pressure. Beet roots juice is available in stores which could act as a powerful supplement to combat hyperTension. STEVIA – BETTER THAN SUGAR
Date:
July 29, 2015 05:11 PM
Author: Darrell Miller
Subject: STEVIA – BETTER THAN SUGAR
Stevia is a natural sweetener that originates in South America – Paraguay and Brazil, mostly – with no calories and is remarkably much sweeter than sugar. The stevia plant Stevia Rebaudiana derives its sweetness from steviol glycocides. The extract is then processed for sale in the form of Truvia and PureVia around North America. It is not yet approved as an additive due to possible side effects of male infertility and genetic mutations. Benefits of Stevia over Sugar - Efficient. Stevia is very potent as a sweetener and contains multiple times the sweetness of sugar. This means less of it is required to have a similar effect on intake. The leaf itself can stay up to five years, so it is a worthy investment as a plant. It saves money and allows for multiple use of a very small quantity.
- Low Calorie Count. Stevia has been a revelation for health freaks around the country. It has no calories, affects neither insulin nor blood sugar levels and does not contribute to dental cavities. It is thus a healthier and cleaner way to indulge your sweet tooth. This is a great tool to combat the rising obese statistics and keep folks in better nick.
- Suppresses Craving. Stevia does not spike your thirst for a sugar spree as much as aspartame and sucralose products. The common helplessness to sugar products once tasted leading to wanting more can be combated with stevia. As opposed to other sweeteners bringing about dizziness, headaches and rashes, stevia is a serene product that will not enslave you to sugar and enable you to keep it natural.
- Teeth Saver. Stevia acts as a polyol would in that dental bacteria from sugar consumption cannot ferment it thus preventing tooth decay and plaque. Erythritol, Maltitol and Solbitol are in most gums and toothpastes as sugar alcohols, but have a lot of calories and can affect diabetics due to their high glycemic index. Stevia does the same job but with no calories and poses no threat to diabetics.
- Safe for Diabetics. The glycemic index is a measure of how much sugar, carbohydrates contain and the energy used to break them down. The higher the glycemic index, the more unsafe, it is for diabetics. Apples, French fries and table salt all have indices above 30 so to keep your food palatable and your diabetes in check, use the zero rated stevia.
- Combats HyperTension and Candidiadis. The South Americans have used stevia for long periods to combat rising blood sugar levels, obesity and fatty liver, but it is only proven to lower the blood pressure of hyperTension patients.
The yeast we hear about being in our bodies is called Candida albicans and it can ferment sugar in the body, causing the candidiasis infection with treatment involving cutting sugar out of your diet. Stevia does not react with the yeast and can also keep your food sweet. Stevia is a safer and healthier option to sugar. It is natural and sweeter than sugar making it a great option to combat obesity and sugar level problems the world is constantly facing. Subject: How Does Omega-7 Help Promote Healthy HDL and LDL Cholesterol Levels?
Omega 7 fatty acids are an important natural enzyme that help in the development of vital organs. They are also essential for bodily functions and are vital in improving the cardiovascular system. Another little known fact about Omega 7s is that this fatty acid is very useful in controlling cholesterol levels. So how do Omega 7s help with cholesterol? - One of the major recent findings has been that Omega 7s play a big role in reducing LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels. These are the main causes of high cholesterol. Omega 7 also promotes the production of healthy HDL cholesterol that boost the cardiovascular system. Fat in the liver is also decreased due to this while the body’s ability to handle blood sugar is improved significantly.
- Omega 7 has been shown to be a highly active fatty acid when it comes to regulating lipid metabolism. The palmitoleic acid present in Omega 7 helps in regulating insulin action and inhibiting production of SCD1.
- Another major cause of high cholesterol is the building up of plaque along the artery walls. Studies have shown that Omega 7 is very effective in inhibiting plaque formation that causes swelling of the arteries. Along with this, Omega 7’s ability to maintain optimum HDL cholesterol levels ensures a healthy cardiovascular system.
- Omega 7 has also been shown to greatly reduce the levels of C-reactive proteins in the body. These proteins are an inflammation marker and high levels are a sign of increased vulnerability to stroke and heart attacks.
As you can see, Omega 7 helps the body in a variety of ways and is highly beneficial in fighting high cholesterol, blood sugar, stroke, heart disease, cancer and diabetes. So what component of Omega 7 is actually responsible for these far reaching healing properties? It is the simple acid known as palmitoleic acid. What is Palmitoleic Acid? Palmitoleic acid is a monosaturated Omega 7 fatty acid. It acts as a signaling enzyme that helps in communication between fat and muscle tissues. This function is quite unique and it ensures that the body maintains optimum energy levels. It also plays an important part in effective storage of fat and muscles. Hence palmitoleic acid has far reaching consequences that are highly beneficial to the human body. Regular consumption of Omega 7 acids reap a number of benefits. They help the body in many ways. It is also one of the best options to fight high cholesterol and inflammation. References: - //www.lef.org/magazine/2014/4/omega-7-protects-against-metabolic-syndrome/page-01?p=1

Subject: D-ribose:A Glance
Ribose is a type of sugar which is produced in the body and is of medicinal value. This organic compound is very essential in our day-to-day lives because it boosts our energy levels. Apart from energy boost, ribose is also used to relieve manifestations of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), fibromyalgia, and coronary artery disease. It also prevents other symptoms like pain following a workout in individuals with a genetic condition known as myoadenylate deaminase deficiency (MAD). This vital body chemical can help boost exercise ability in individuals with another inherited disorder known as McArdle's disease. D-Ribose D-ribose is a ribose supplement designed to boost cellular energy production in the heart as well as skeletal muscle by raising the levels of ribose in the body. Statistics have proven that good ribose supplements like d-ribose might help thwart muscle fatigue in individuals with inherited disorders which hamper adequate production of energy by the body. Did you know that d-ribose can supply additional energy to the heart during physical activity in individuals with heart disease? How Does D-ribose Work to Boost Energy in the Body? The manner in which d-ribose works to deliver results is very simple and elaborate. It promotes the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which is the primary source of energy for the body's cells. Healthy, active cells constantly top up their supply of ATP to get adequate cellular energy. Through increasing levels of adenosine triphosphate, the supplement can help speed up energy recovery, increase energy reserves and maintain healthy energy levels in the heart and muscle tissue. Conclusion As you can see, your body needs to keep its production of (ATP) at its highest possible level for maximum energy production as well as physical performance. But sometimes the supply of actual ATP molecules may be reduced due to a number of factors including physical activity and health condition. This is where D-ribose, a natural ingredient for boosting ATP levels comes in.
