Subject: Andrographis

Dear Friends,

I believe there’s an essential herb that everyone should be aware of, though not to many realize the powerful benefits of this near miracle botanical. This one nutrient has the ability to strengthen the immune system while also enhancing cardiovascular health, liver and kidney function, joint mobility, and much more. Recent studies have shown this herb to be three times more effective than milk thistle for liver health. And while I know there’s no miracle supplement, that can prevent all disease, there are a growing number of studies to show that this herb can promote overall health and well-being in a tremendous way.

This herb, which I respect and hold in high regard, is andrographis. I believe it’s the next up-and-coming superstar in botanical medicine, and for good reason. I am not yet at liberty to give you the full details on a recent study, but I can tell you the results are impressive. The study involved treating three different groups of animals that had cancerous tumors. One group of animals was treated with curcumin, the second group was treated with french grape seed extract, and the third group was treated with andrographis. And while all three herbs were beneficial in this study, andrographis proved to be the most effective in reducing the cancerous tumors in the animals. I can’t wait to share the study details when it’s published.

It’s no wonder that andrographis has been used in natural medicine for years, due to its powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, cancer-preventive, neuroprotective, and immune-stimulating properties. In fact, andrographis is the subject of over 800 studies in the National Institute of health’s PubMed online database, with more to come!

You’ll learn how this amazing herb:

  • Strengthens immune defenses
  • Stops Viruses and resistant bacteria
  • Protects the liver
  • Prevents tumors and cell damage
  • Soothes digestive disorders
  • Prevents pain, inflammation, and arthritis symptoms
  • Supports energy and resilience
  • Protects heart and arteries

And the benefits don’t stop there. Please take the time to read more at TerryTalksNutrition.com

Subject: You can benefit from adding cod liver oil to your diet

Cod liver oil has many health benefits that one can take advantage of. Some of them are that it can alleviate the symptoms of gastric ulcer, can improve eye health, can help to reduce the pain from arthritis, and improve the condition of anxiety or depression. It can also strengthen the bones. Many doctors when recommending a supplement to a patient will almost always include fish oil in the list. This is because fish oil contains lots of omega-3 fatty acids that are antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Fish oil has also been found to lower the risk to dementia, and heart disease, along with other chronic health problems. Many fish oil are taken from fish that live near the surface of the sea but cod liver oil are taken from the cod fish that lives in the depth of the ocean. This oil contains high amount of vitamin A and D. One needs only take a single teaspoon to have the recommended daily allowance which is 900 milligrams of DHA, EPA, and other omega-3 fatty acids. It is recommended by the authors that one gets his supply of cod liver oil from reputable sources to prevent contamination.

Key Takeaways:

  • Due to the numerous benefits of fish oil, health care providers almost always include it in their recommended list of health supplements.
  • There are lots of omega-3 fatty acids that can be found in fish oil and this helps to prevent dementia, heart disease, and other chronic health problems.
  • Many of the fish oils that are found in the market are taken from fish that swims mostly near the surface of the sea.

"This highly beneficial fish oil can alleviate the symptoms of gastric ulcers, support eye health, relieve pain from arthritis, strengthen the bones, and improve anxiety or depression."

Omega-3s associated with a reduced risk of bleeding in surgery, according to a new study

Subject: Omega-3s associated with a reduced risk of bleeding in surgery, according to a new study

A new study called the Omega-3 Fatty Acids for the Prevention of Post-Operative Atrial Fibrillation, also known as OPERA, is calling into question the conventional wisdom that patients who use omega-3 supplements right before surgery are at a higher risk of internal bleeding as a result. The study involved over 1,500 heart surgery patients, and found that those with the highest omega-3 levels in their blood were actually at a lower risk of bleeding. While the exact cause of this is not well understood, it does suggest that more research is needed.

Key Takeaways:

  • Although fish oil are very popular natural supplements that are good for heart health, in cases of surgey, they might cause blood thinning which is dangerous.
  • A new study has shown that the belief that taking fish oil before surgery is wrong is absolutely erroneous but that it reduces the risk of bleeding.
  • The study that discovered this new finding involved a large group of 1,516 persons who were divided into one group taking omega-3 supplements and another taking placebo.

"The exact mechanism behind this effect is still not well understood, but Harris suggested that the anti-inflammatory activity of omega-3s might be contributing to this."

Subject: For the men: Multivitamins can keep heart disease at bay

When one gets insufficient nutrients from the diet, taking multivitamins can be a healthy way to improve this. A recent study has shown that men who take multivitamins a lot are less prone to diseases related to the heart such as stroke and even death related to cardiovascular diseases. But how can cardiovascular diseases be prevented using multivitamins? There are few studies in this direction although a lot of studies have been done on the health benefits of multivitamins. That is why a team of researchers in the US embarked on a study of the incidence of multivitamin usage on major cardiovascular diseases like stroke, heart attack, and cardiovascular death. The study was a long term prospective study. The study was conducted between 1982 and 1995 using 18,530 healthy men that were aged from 40 years and above who the researchers followed. The participants reported their lifestyle habits and as well as their intake of certain foods. Throughout the follow up study, there were only 1,697 reported cases of cardiovascular diseases. This made the researchers to conclude that taking multivitamins means a reduced risk to cardiovascular diseases. It is then appropriate for one to choose the right kind of supplements to improve the diet.

Key Takeaways:

  • When one suspects that he is not getting the full nutrients that his body needs on a daily basis, taking quality multivitamins is necessary.
  • According to a recent study that was done on multivitamins, men who have taken them for a long time have lower risks of stroke and cardiovascular diseases.
  • Many persons know of the important role of multivitamins in improving and maintaining health, but little research has been done on its role on cardiovascular disease.

"In conducting the study, the research team followed 18,530 healthy men aged 40 years old or over from 1982 to 1995. The participants were initially enrolled from the Physicians’ Health Study I cohort"

In the era where there has been an increase in people's interest in physical health, one of the biggest things that has taken trend is that of OMEGA-3s and claims that they are good for a variety of reasons. Although until recently it has been unknown why it was good for you, new research has now shown that these nutrients can be beneficial for your heart, especially in terms of protecting it against DNA damage that can injure blood vessels.

Key Takeaways:

  • To help stop the plague that is affecting the planet in the form of heart and arterial diseases, experts recommend foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
  • Although experts have not explained why omega-3 fatty acids are good for heart health, new research has found that it has components that prevents free radicals from causing harm.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids are rich in EPA and DHA which reduce the harm caused by intracellular reactive oxygen species to heart cells.

"Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), components found in omega-3 fatty acids, promote antioxidant responses in the human aortic endothelial cells, protecting DNA from oxidative stress from reactive oxygen species (ROS)."

Subject: Discover the benefits of biotin, a little known B-vitamin that cangive you that natural, healthy look

The vitamin B7, often known as Biotin is normally advertised as a supplement to help with the growth of hair and nail tissue. In a new write up by Zoey Sky, she provides the general public with a few different symptoms that may indicate your body has a Biotin deficiency, such as dry and itchy skin or constant bouts of fatigue. She also provides a few benefits that come along with taking a Biotin supplement such as a positive change in thyroid health, better digestion and ability to absorb nutrients as well as support for your nervous system.

Key Takeaways:

  • When someone starts to experience a dry and brittle hair condition, or the skin starts to become red and itchy, he may have a biotin deficiency.
  • Another name for biotin is vitamin B7 and it is a water-soluble vitamin which means that it is easily depleted from the body and has to be restored.
  • Some of the reasons why one should add biotin-rich foods to the diet include that it boosts thyroid health, and it can be used in managing type 2 diabetes.

"The average recommended daily intake for biotin is five micrograms (mcg) for infants and small children, 30 mcg for adults, and 35 mcg for pregnant and breastfeeding women."

Subject: Follow your gut to digestive health

"Microbiome" is the term that refers to the good and bad bacteria that resides within your digestive system. When that bacteria is in healthy balance, you have optimal equilibrium in your gut. Prebiotics and probiotics can contribute to this balance, enhancing your overall digestive health. You can get prebiotics and probiotics from both supplements and food. By making an effort to maintain a healthy microbiome, you will reap the benefits of overall immune support, heart health, an improved mood, and regularity in your bowel movements.

Key Takeaways:

  • Probiotics are healthy bacteria that live inside a person's gut, while prebiotics are the fibers that fuel probiotics.
  • Some examples of prebiotic fibers are lentils, different kinds of beans, and fruits and vegetables.
  • Yogurts, kefir, fermented vegetables, and kombucha are examples of probiotic foods.

"While all fiber is important to feeling your best every day, only certain fibers are what we call prebiotics."

Subject: Omega-3s found to benefit children diagnosed with behavioraldisorders

It is common knowledge that omega-3s can promote heart health, but now studies are showing that they can also help children who are suffering from behavioral disorders. A study was published within the Journal of Dietary Supplements that showed kids aged six to twelve showed great improvement in regards to their overall health status and quality of life when they were given doses of omega-3s on a regular basis. The study evaluated exactly 942 children, so the findings are quite consistent.

Key Takeaways:

  • Although Omega-3 fatty acids are well known for their health benefits on the heart, a recent study has shown that it gives good results on mental health.
  • When Omega-3 fatty acids was used on children with behavioral disorders, it was found that it helped improve their mental health and quality of life.
  • 942 children in Spain with behavioral disorders were used for the study and they were given omega-3 fatty acids for a three month period.

"To evaluate the effectiveness of omega-3 fatty acid supplementation, the researchers used the Kidscreen-10 and the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaires (SDQ). The SDQ examines 25 positive and negative attributes, which are divided among five scales: emotional symptoms, conduct problems, hyperactivity or inattention, peer relationship problems, and prosocial behavior."

Can I Eat Fruit On a Keto Diet?

Subject: Can I Eat Fruit On a Keto Diet?

The ketogenic diet is now trending across the globe, but many have many impressions about this eating regimen that are far from the truth. One of these myths surround the fact that keto dieters cannot consume any carbs at all, making the majority of fruits off limits. Keto followers can actually have up to 50 grams of carbohydrates to start, and they are encouraged to consume healthy fruits that are low in carbohydrates such as lemons or avocados.

Key Takeaways:

  • People often ask if they can eat fruit on a ketogenic diet because in the keto world fruits are often a contentious subject.
  • It is wrong for people to label some foods as keto or non-keto rather they should set diet goals based on their health, activity level, and food preferences.
  • For people who adhere to a very strict definition of keto, the carbs in a fruit can take away a large chunk of their daily carb recommendations.

"Higher carb fruits are going to be harder to incorporate into a keto diet while still allowing room for the liberal intake of vegetables and avocados encouraged in the Keto Reset."

Why Fibre: The One Effective Macronutrient For Constipation AndWeight Loss

Subject: Why Fibre: The One Effective Macronutrient For Constipation AndWeight Loss

Fiber is a critical macronutrient that can help to alleviate constipation by increasing the size and weight of the stool. However, consuming too much fiber can cause discomfort, gas and bloating. The recommended daily intake of fiber for adults is 25 grams for women and 35 grams for men. Unfortunately, most people take in only about 15 grams of fiber per day. It's important to drink plenty of water so that the body can absorb fiber properly without any negative effects. While fiber is not a magic pill, it can aid in weight loss by eliminating toxins, boosting gut health, and balancing blood sugar.

Key Takeaways:

  • Since fiber is an essential macronutrient that the body requires, people who are suffering from constipation can get relief from having it in their diet.
  • Some of the benefits of taking fiber include the smooth movement of bowel through the increase in the weight and size of stool, and for losing weight.
  • Although fiber is good for the body, too much of fiber is unhealthy because it can lead to bloating, gas, and constipation.

"This means that a lack of fibre can invite a host of health problems ranging from plummeting sugar and lipid profiles, overeating which can in turn lead to obesity, constipation and gut dysbiosis which can pave way for even more serious illnesses."

Subject: Parsley: An Spectacular Herb With Well being Advantages

While most of us know parsley is a popular herb used in many American and European dishes, it also has many impressive health benefits. Parsley is quite low in calories, however, it's rich in critical nutrients, such as vitamins C, A, and K. Parsley is an immune-boosting herb that plays an important role in bone density, heart health, and blood clotting. The vitamin C in parsley acts as a strong antioxidant that protects cells from free radical damage. Some animal studies have shown that parsley can help to normalize high blood sugar, making it a great food for diabetics. Subject: What Does Obesity Mean for Your health, Heart, Thyroid, Diabetes

Many people who are concerned in general terms about obesity still have gaps in their knowledge regarding several specific health consequences, according to the Cleveland Clinic Heart Health Survey. The survey indicated that, while most people understand that obesity is bad for cardiac health, they may not appreciate the role of triglycerides or different types of cholesterol. Likewise, relatively few respondents have made major dietary changes to try to lose weight, and my people appear not to understand that even relatively modest weight loss can have significant health benefits.

Key Takeaways:

  • Although many adults are concerned about having excess weight, they fail to make the connection between excess weight and the risk of developing chronic diseases.
  • According to a cardiologist expert, Luke Laffin, MD, it was surprising from a survey that only 22 percent of respondent had ever talked to their doctor about excess weight.
  • Individuals who have hypothyroidism even before the condition is diagnosed have been observed to have the tendency for excess weight gain.

"Carrying excess weight worsens glucose tolerance and also increases the risk of developing certain cancers."

If you have been trying to remove all fat from your diet, you've been making a mistake. The human body needs fat to function. You just need to make sure you are getting the right fats. When it comes to your health, unsaturated fats are beneficial, trans fats are detrimental, and the jury is still out on saturated fats. Failure to consume enough healthy fats can lead to cognitive fatigue, dry skin, joint pain and other ailments. To ensure your body gets enough good fat, fill your diet with seeds, fruits, nuts and fatty fish.

Key Takeaways:

  • Beneficial fats should be a regular part of your daily diet for both heart and brain health.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids are the perfect brain food and have been shown to prevent ADHD and enhance cognitive function.
  • Healthy fats have been shown to help alleviate joint pain, support good vision, and improve anxiety and mood swings.

"Your skin is what you eat and good skin always starts from the inside. Aside from collagen and elastin, healthy fats also help to keep your skin moisturized and supple. As our skin cells are surrounded by them, low levels of fats in the body can lead to dry, flaky and irritated skin (4)."

Subject: Study shows lutein can boost heart health

Many people consume lutein, either as a supplement in in vegetables containing lutein, because it can provide protection from diseases of the eye. A recent study has shown that lutein can protect the heart as well. Researchers found some correlation between higher levels of lutein in the bloodstream and a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, and metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome is a medical term for a group of conditions including abdominal obesity, high blood pressure, and high triglycerides. Lutein, a carotenoid, is found in dark, leafy green vegetables.

Key Takeaways:

  • Carrot and kale contain the carotenoid lutein that is useful for good eye health. But it has been shown that this compound is also good for the heart.
  • Lutein, a carotenoid, can both help protect the eyes and improve eye health, while reducing the risk of developing both cataracts and age-related macular degeneration.
  • To carry out their study, the scientists first concentrated on current research on lutein. They gathered 4,377 studies that were narrowed down to 71 most relevant studies.

"Dr. Elizabeth Leermakers decided to look into “lutein’s positive effects against inflammation and oxidative stresses in the eyes,” and together with a team of researchers, she searched for links between the presence of lutein (or a lack of the carotenoid) and diseases caused by stressors like heart attack, metabolic syndrome, and stroke."

Subject: Botanical study concludes the antioxidant potential of small nettle

Researchers from the University of Sfax conducted a study on small nettle to determine it’s antioxidant potential. The small nettle plant can improve nutrition, livelihood, and overall health. It is also rich in flavonoids, fatty acids, and vitamins. Small nettle has already been in use for medicinal purposes as it can serve as a natural remedy for allergies, asthma, and bacterial infections. To conduct the study the researchers used extracts from small nettle leaves and watched for antimicrobial activity. They observed antioxidant activity along with high concentrations of flavonoids and shows that the plants are very important for health applications.

Key Takeaways:

  • The small nettle and the painful stinging nettle are both relatives because they belong to the genus Urtica and members of the genus have antioxidant potential.
  • There are plants like the small nettle which might have potential for health, nutrition, livelihood, and ecological sustainability but these are very much underutilized.
  • Antioxidants are among the most sought after compounds in plants because they can neutralize harmful free radicals and thereby reduce the risk of cancers.

"A study conducted by researchers from the University of Sfax in Tunisia was the first to show not just the antioxidant potential of small nettle (Urtica urens) but its antimicrobial activity as well."

Exactly 473 men and 475 women have been studied in order to see if high levels of vitamin C can help lower the risk of facing a premature death. Although several people did meet an early demise due to heart disease and other common ailments, it was shown that the individuals who were in the top 25 percentile when it comes to their vitamin C levels had a much lower risk in reaching an early death.

Key Takeaways:

  • A 16-year study of almost 1000 Chinese men and women found that those with the highest Vitamin C plasma concentrations were less likely to have died of any cause during the study.
  • Vitamin C’s benefits probably result from its ability to suppress oxidative stress and the resulting inflammation.
  • Kiwis, papayas, chili peppers, red bell peppers, mangos, kale and pineapple are all rich sources of Vitamin C.

Omega-3s have a wide variety of benefits for your brain and cardiac health, as well as keeping inflammation in check and hormones in balance, so you definitely shouldn’t let yourself become deficient. Omega-3s are an essential fatty acid, meaning the body cannot produce them on its own. A deficiency can cause inflammation, digestive troubles, and pain in muscles and joints, as well as changes in the appearance of skin and hair. Deficiencies can also cause or worsen ADHD symptoms or depression. A lack of omega-3s can even result in poor brain development in children and neurodegenerative symptoms in adults.

Key Takeaways:

  • It has been shown in numerous studies that omega-3 is very good for the health and some of the benefits include fighting inflammatory diseases.
  • One needs omega-3 for the following reasons: proper cardiovascular function, proper neurological function, cell membrane maintenance, and fetal development.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids are known as good fats and there are three types in the world today.

"“Omega-3s” is another name for omega-3 fatty acids. These fats are found in the human body, as well as in certain foods like oily fish. Essential fatty acids are “essential” because the body cannot synthesize them on its own, therefore humans must get these fats from the diet."

Subject: Is magnesium the secret to ending PMS? Vitamin eases headaches andcramps

The vast majority of women will suffer from common PMS symptoms like cramps, insomnia, headaches, anxiety and mood swings. Roughly five percent of women will suffer more serious symptoms — known as premenstrual dysphoric disorder — involving anger and depression. However, studies suggest that women who take a daily magnesium supplement suffer from less severe PMS symptoms, possibly because magnesium helps promote higher levels of gamma-Aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter which helps regulate sleep. Women who experience exhaustion as a central PMS symptom are particularly likely to need more magnesium.

Key Takeaways:

  • Seventy-five percent of women suffer from PMS at some point during their life.
  • Magnesium research suggests that it can help with restful nights sleep, reduce the symptoms of pain and tiredness, as well as migraines and mood swings.
  • Research suggests that individuals who received a magnesium supplement saw improvement with PMS symptoms and lowered depression and anxiety.

"According to PubMed Health, during this time, some women feel a wide range of physical discomforts, such as abdominal pain, abdominal cramping, backache, headaches, bloating, weight gain, breast tenderness, possible sleeping issues and digestive discomfort."

A study based in America called "Journal of the American College of Cardiology" has recently released information that points to how omega-3 fatty acids have the ability to improve health outlooks for those suffering from chronic cardiovascular failure known as congestive heart failure. Regular consumption of omega-3 fatty acids have not only shown to positively contribute to remedying cardiovascular issues, but it has also shown to reduce stress, depression, and other psychological issues that many patients face.

Key Takeaways:

  • The condition wherein the heart fails to sufficiently pump blood is called chronic heart failure and is a result of the accumulation of excess fats in the arteries.
  • Many people are now suffering from chronic heart failure because their lifestyle which involves fast food, stress, and sedentary lifestyle contributes to this.
  • The prevalence of chronic heart failure is worrisome because its existence increases the risk of other conditions such as depression, kidney, or liver damage.

Subject: Ribose Energy-Boosting Heart Supporter or Sugar Trap?

Ribose is a natural energy-boosting chemical that our bodies produce in order to provide our cells with the appropriate energy levels. It has been shown to support heart health by regenerating the necessary energy levels that can be depleted by cardiovascular disease. Ribose has also shown to help patients who are suffering from left ventricular diastolic dysfunction. Other advantages of ribose include: improved skin health, better workouts due to the energy increase, and aiding in the treatment of fibromyalgia.

Key Takeaways:

  • Ribose is also known as D-ribose. It is naturally created by our bodies and provides sufficient energy to the body cells.
  • The sources for D-ribose include plant and animal sources. Sometimes, it can also be obtained as a supplement.
  • D-ribose is unlike every other sugar which can increase blood sugar. People are warned that D-ribose can even lower blood sugar.

"In fact, scientific studies show that D-ribose may help a number of serious health concerns, including heart diseases, fibromyalgia symptoms and chronic fatigue syndrome."

Subject: Why prebiotics are absolutely essential to gut health

We are always told about how important probiotics are for our gastrointestinal health, but what about prebiotics? Prebiotics are shown to improve digestion because they can naturally restore the presence of probiotics that fight off any harmful bacteria. Harmful gut bacteria can lead to issues such as bloating, gas, and acid reflux. It can also lead to issues such as brain fog and having poor levels of vitamins in your system that lead to related deficiencies.

Key Takeaways:

  • People often mistake probiotics and prebiotics to be the same thing, but even though they are closely related, they are also very different from each other.
  • By eating prebiotic foods, probiotic populations can be restored, and as a result, the different symptoms of these health problems like gas and bloating are alleviated.
  • Probiotics are crucial to maintaining overall health since nearly 70 percent of the immune system is found in the gut.

"People also have to complement their diet with foods containing the lesser known prebiotics for probiotics to work their magic."

What's The Difference Between Niacin And Niacinamide
TopPreviousNext

Date: December 19, 2018 08:31 AM
Author: Darrell Miller (support@vitanetonline.com)
Subject: What's The Difference Between Niacin And Niacinamide

When it comes to Vitamin B3, not all forms of Niacin are created equally. Aside from the risk of allergens and impurities, there are also separate forms with critical distinctions. The pure form is made solely of nicotinic acid which causes the flushing effect when it is taken by humans. The flushing effect is a redness that starts in the face and expands outwards through the rest of the body. It can make the skin feel warm, dry, and itchy for half an hour. The flushing effect is associated with vascular dilation that helps open up the tiny capillaries and blood vessels to clean out all the toxic junk they may have accumulated.

Nicotinic Acid Lowers Cholesterol

Nicotinic acid is also associated with increasing HDL levels in the body to prevent heart disease and plaques from accumulating on the interior walls of arteries. Nicotinic acid is also known to lower the LDL and VLDL bad cholesterols that clog up arteries and lead to heart attacks and strokes.

Other Benefits of Vitamin B3

Vitamin B3 plays a critical role in building enzymes that help us carry out over 200 physical functions in the body. It is not produced naturally but is absorbed from foods such as yeast, green vegetables, milk, eggs, legumes, and fish. Aside from cardiovascular health, it plays a critical role in nervous health and sex hormone production.

How Does Niacinamide Differ?

Niacinamide is a water-soluble form of Niacin that is used to treat deficiencies or for therapies when patients need to take higher doses regularly to treat pellegra and the deficiencies that lead to it. When an excess of Niacin is built up in the body, your body may store it in this form. The chief distinction between this water-soluable hybrid and nicotinic acid is the effect on cholesterol and vascular dilation. Although flushing can be reduced by taking nicotinic acid daily and building up a tolerance to the effects, it is harder on the liver and more burdensome on the body to metabolize it in the high doses used for therapy of many illnesses: ADHD, Schizophrenia, nervous problems, migraines, and arthritis, among others. It is the preferred choice for maintaining a consistent and steady level of Vitamin B3 in the body and loaded into many beauty and skin products for women.

What Other Forms Can I Take?

You can take any form of the vitamin on a daily basis or supplement it with nicotinic acid when you need some additional flushing effect. You will notice that Niacinamide causes some symptoms of drying and itching that are similar to flushing when you take it in high doses. The no-flush formulation is called inositol hexanicotinate and made up from Vitamins B3 and Inositol Vitamin B8. The inositol acts as an additional buffer that makes inositol hexanicotinate easy to digest and take 1600 mg without side-effects: nausea, itching, flushing, dizziness, gout, liver damage, diabetes. Although multi-vitamin formulas and even fortified foods like breakfast shakes and cereals suggest that you are getting a full dose of B3 in each serving, this is very unlikely. The better choice is to take specifically formulated capsules rather than multivitamins if you are using it for therapeutic reasons.

Subject: The Cannabis Remedy: Simple Solution For Over 40 Million PeopleSuffering With Anxiety

Anxiety is a very prevalent condition, both in the U.S. and worldwide. In fact the National Institutes of Health concur that as much as 33% of the world's population has suffered, or well suffer from some type of anxiety. Besides mentally specific symptoms, such as worry, fretting, inability to focus, nervousness and fearfulness, the condition can create physical symptoms as well, such as clenching, sweating, dizziness, accelerated breathing, pulse and raised blood pressure. At it's worst, anxiety can induce a full-blown panic attack, depersonalization and even a certainty that one is dying. Obviously anxiety is a potentially critical condition, with the ability to disrupt life, even in small ways. As it worsens, anxiety can make it difficult to impossible for sufferers to work or socialize effectively. Though triggers vary, most people are visited by anxiety due to one of three big concerns, namely fears that center around finances, safety, or health. One poll conducted by the American Psychiatric Association concluded that keeping the family safe and bill-paying were huge anxiety triggers that resonated with more than 60% of respondents. The positive news is that many people can experience mitigation, if not complete surcease of these symptoms by using cannabis, which is expected to keep growing as an industry. THC which is the psychoactive component in cannabis, that which makes it illegal if it gets past .3%, is minimal to almost nil in hemp, which is related to, but not the same as marijuana. The THC amount will vary in cannabis products. There is hemp oil, hemp seed oil and CBD oil, which is made from the entire plant, flowers and all, so it may have a bit more THC. Oil products can be taken topically, or sublingually, even smoked. By acting on receptors in the central nervous symptom, the constituents of the oil act to mitigate the symptoms of anxiety. Even beyond pain relief these products have been shown to have efficacy for symptoms of epilepsy, pain and impaired cognition.

Key Takeaways:

  • The National Institute of Health estimates as much as a third of the world suffers from anxiety.
  • Anxiety has the ability to disrupt life, even making it impossible for people to function at work, home or in social capacities.
  • Although anxiety takes many forms, the big three trigger issues for most people revolve around, health, finances and safety.

"The good news is, there are ways to cope, even ways to alleviate anxiety and its symptoms using natural and drug-free solutions."

Here's Why Probiotics For Women Are So Important

Probiotics are extremely important for health, especially the health of women. They promote gut health by increasing the bacteria in your digestive tract. Chronic stress can hurt your microbiota, so probiotics are a way to combat this problem. Probiotic supplements may also help with mental health issues including depression and anxiety. They can also help with urogenital infections including UTIs and yeast infections. If you are considering probiotic supplements, it is recommended to eat a diet including things such as kimchi or kefir instead of taking pills.

Key Takeaways:

  • Stress can cause an imbalance of the bacteria in your gut, which leads to health problems.
  • When you take antibiotics, they wipe out the good bacteria in your gut in addition to the bad bacteria, so probiotics can restore the proper balance.
  • Having well-balanced bacteria in the gut can prevent ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.

"And for women in particular, keeping this balance of bacteria happy is also important in vaginal health, managing digestion issues that tend to affect women more often than men, and more."

Bifidobacterium Lactis: The Bacterium That Could Help You Lose Weight & Fight Inflammation

The probiotic Bifidobacterium lactis, or B. lactis, is a powerhouse for gut health. Why is this strain of bacteria so important? One study published in 2015 showed that B. lactis could improve unpleasant and painful symptoms associated with poor gut motility, dysbiosis, and GI hypersensitivity. B. lactis is definitely one of the “good guys” of the gut bacteria world because it contributes to a healthy and balanced microbiome, which positively affects balanced blood sugar and optimal weight maintenance.

Key Takeaways:

  • While probiotics are ingested live organisms that are good for gut health, a prebiotic is food that helps these organisms thrive.
  • Bifidobacterium lactis in fermented milk is good for gut health because it improves gastrointestinal symptoms and well-being.
  • Oral health is tied to gut health in intricate ways. Studies with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has shown this truth.

"A particular strain of B. lactis, known as HN019, has been shown to have a significant impact on those with metabolic syndrome. This probiotic had beneficial effects on inflammation, nitric oxide metabolites, and antioxidant measurements, and the authors of the study stated that if their results are confirmed, supplementation with this probiotic should be considered further."

Hesperidin, a flavonoid, can be used to reduce skin damage caused by constant sun exposure

Melanin protects skin from the sun's ultraviolet rays, which can burn the skin, and over time, could reduce its elasticity and cause a person to age prematurely. Suntanning occurs because exposure to sunlight causes the skin to produce more melanin and to darken. The sun's rays make us feel good, and in the short term, make us look good. But our love affair isn't a two-way street. Exposure to sun causes most of the wrinkles and age spots on our faces. Consider this: One woman at age 40 who has protected her skin from the sun actually has the skin of a 30-year-old!

We often associate a glowing complexion with good health, but skin color obtain from being in the sun – or in a tanning booth – actually accelerates the effects of aging and increases your risk for developing skin cancer.

Key Takeaways:

  • One study induced UVB damage in hairless mice to assess whether a flavonoid, hesperidin, would prove protective.
  • Mice in the hesperidin group received 100 milligrams of the flavonoid for every kilogram of body weight, daily.
  • The rodents were irradiated at 48 hour intervals, over a period of 12 weeks, with higher doses of UVB exposure occurring in incremental levels.

"Citrus lovers, rejoice: New research has found that a flavonoid found in citrus can help prevent skin damage brought about by ultraviolet radiation. The study, published in BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine, has found that hesperidin can protect against photoaging caused by ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation, and prevent wrinkles, skin thickening, and inflammation."
