Mito-Scan, a special patented nutritional substance developed by
R.K. Brown, MD (formerly affiliated with the Sloan Kettering
Institute), is composed primarily of organic acids found
naturally in the body.
It is beneficial for an assortment of
conditions, including allergies, viral infections and early
cancers, chronic fatigue, depression and various nerve and
muscle disorders as outlined in the U.S. Patent abstract below.
Underlying these conditions is a lack of energy, with energy
itself considered a primary entity - the source as well as the
essence of life. On this basis, disease can be attributed to the
defective functioning of organs and systems whose energy
supplies are inadequate.
Within the cells of the body, small
structures called mitochondria change nutrients into adenosine
triphosphate (ATP), a substance that carries and dispenses
energy. The effectiveness of Mito-Scan appears to come largely
from its ability to stimulate mitochondrial production of ATP.
Patients report they feel better, with improvements in many of
their symptoms.
The dosage and duration of treatment with
Mito-Scan appear to depend on the condition and biochemical
individuality of each patient. Its' anti-microbial capacity is
most evident against Herpes Simplex and Cytomegalovirus. Its
toxicity and side effects are slight, being comparable to those
of aspirin.
According to the present invention, there is
provided an admixture of sorbic acid, malic acid, fumaric acid,
croionic acid, and optionally aconitic acid. Further
contemplated by the present invention are methods for treating
various pathological conditions such as viral infections,
acidosis, tumors, and bacterial and fungal infections by
administering various therapeutically effective amounts of an
admixture described above.
An interesting comment by
patients taking Mito-Scan is that they are seldom bothered by
mosquitoes or gnats. It is also suggested that results are
