Solaray® black currant seed oil is one of the world's most plentiful sources of gamma linolenic acid (GLA), and contains nearly twice as much GLA as evening primrose oil, measured as a percentage of total fat acid content. Black currant seed oil also contains other important fatty acids such as alpha linolenic acid and stearidonic acid, which are not found in either evening primrose oil or borage oil.
