Although NOW offers Vitamin B-3 (Niacin) in many forms, we’ve had many requests for higherpotency capsules, which is understandable because of the many beneficial effects Niacin brings to the table. The body uses Niacin during the process of consuming carbohydrates for energy.* It is also needed to form fat from carbohydrates, as well as to process alcohol.* Niacin supports normal circulation and is necessary for healthy immune system function.* The body uses niacin to produce hydrochloric acid for proper digestion, and it plays a role in the production of other digestive fluids as well.* The Niacin form of B3 also supports healthy cholesterol levels, though Niacinamide does not.* While Niacin can be found in an abundance of food sources, most people don’t consume enough of these foods on a regular basis to positively address the body’s needs. As with most Niacin products, our newest product may cause itching or flushing and should be taken with meals to minimize these effects.
