Rene Casse's History

René Caisse was a Canadian nurse who, throughout her life, claimed to have used an herbal remedy to successfully treat cancer. The remedy was passed down to her from an Ojibwe medicine man and consisted of a combination of herbs. Caisse began using the remedy on patients in the 1920s, and she eventually came to be known as "Queen of the Cancer Nurses." While she never revealed the exact ingredients of her formula, she did share it with a handful of people, including Dr. Charles Brusch, who later became President Kennedy's personal physician. In 1958, Caisseretired from nursing and turned her attention to raising money to fund research into her herbal cancer treatment. However, she was never able to raise enough money to conduct clinical trials, and the formula died with her when she passed away in 1978. While Caisse's story may never be fully verified, her legacy continues to inspire those who are searching for more natural cancer treatments.

What is Camas Prairie tea and what are its benefits?

Camas Prairie tea is a blend of four different herbs: burdock root, sheep sorrel root, slippery elm bark, and turkey rhubarb root. Each of these herbs has its own unique benefits, making Camas Prairie tea a powerful tool for supporting overall health. For example, burdock root is known for its detoxifying properties, while sheep sorrel root is a rich source of antioxidants. How is the tea made?

The tea is made by simmering the herbs in water for several hours. This extracts the beneficial compounds from the plants and makes them more bioavailable to the body. The Camas Prairie tea blend is then strained and can be enjoyed as is, or sweetened with honey if desired. The herbs used in this formula are all sourced from organic farmers who use sustainable growing practices. This ensures that the plants are of the highest quality and free from harmful chemicals.

Camas Prairie tea is a delicious and potent way to promote overall health and wellbeing.

What are some of the ingredients in the blend and what do they do?

Burdock Root - is a long, thick root that resembles a carrot. It is brown on the outside and white on the inside. The root is native to Europe and Asia but can now be found all over the world. It has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine and European folk medicine. Today, burdock root is sometimes taken as a supplement for its purported health benefits. Some research suggests that burdock root may help to lower blood sugar levels, reduce inflammation, and boost the immune system. Additionally, burdock root is often used as a natural diuretic and laxative. While further research is needed to determine the efficacy of these claims, burdock root remains a popular herbal remedy.

Sheep Sorrel Root - is a common weed that has been used for centuries in traditional herbal medicine. Its small, green leaves are often used to add flavor to salads and soup. However, sheep sorrel root is also known for its many health benefits. Sheep sorrel root contains compounds that can help to detoxify the body, fight inflammation, and boost the immune system. It is also a rich source of antioxidants and vitamins A and C. Additionally, sheep sorrel root has been shown to have anti-cancer properties. While more research is needed, these potential health benefits make sheep sorrel root worth considering as a natural way to improve your health.

Slippery Elm Bark (Ulmus rubra) - is a tree native to North America. The inner bark of the tree is often used in herbal medicine. It is rich in nutrients and has a high mucilage content, which makes it slippery and sticky when wet. Slippery elm bark has been used traditionally for centuries as a folk remedy for a variety of conditions, including sore throats, stomach problems, and skin injuries. More recently, slippery elm bark has been studied for its potential health benefits. Early research suggests that it may help to treat digestive problems such as diarrhea and constipation, and it may also help to lower cholesterol levels. Additionally, slippery elm bark may have anti-inflammatory properties and could be effective in treating conditions like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. However, more research is needed to confirm these potential health benefits. Slippery elm bark is generally considered safe when taken orally. However, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers should avoid using it as there is insufficient evidence to show that it is safe for them to do so. People with diabetes should also use slippery elm bark with caution as it may lower blood sugar levels. As with any herbal remedy, it is always best to speak with a healthcare provider

Turkey rhubarb root (Rheum palmatum) - is a perennial herb that has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine. The roots and leaves of the plant are used to make a variety of remedies for a variety of health conditions. Modern research has shown that Turkey rhubarb root does indeed have a number of health benefits. The herb is most commonly used as a laxative, and it has been shown to be effective in relieving constipation. Turkey rhubarb root is also sometimes used as a treatment for diarrhea, and it may help to reduce the severity of symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome.
