What is Strontium?

Strontium is a chemical element with the chemical symbol Sr. It is an important element in both physics and chemistry, but where it impinges on your health is in its properties as a catalyst. Bone is composed of carbon and phosphate plus small quantities of other elements, one of these being strontium. That's there because it is an essential part of the chemistry that forms bone. Calcium does not form bone by itself, but needs a catalyst to help it to do so, and that catalyst is strontium.

Catalysts only have to be present in small quantities to be effective, which is why analysis shows it as forming only a very tiny proportion of your bone tissue, and why it was regarded as an unimportant one until the physics and chemistry of catalysis explained its purpose.

It follows, then, that by taking a supplement of strontium, bone damage caused by osteoporosis, arthritis and even bone cancer can be repaired. It should not be given to children whose bones are still developing since it could interfere and result in abnormalities.
