Does EndorphiGen work for everyone?

Some supplements are contraindicated for use in persons with phenylketonuria (PKU), including supplements that contain D-Phenylalanine. Impaired metabolism of phenylalanine can lead to elevated levels of phenylalanine, which in turn can cause inhibition of the decarboxylation of 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP), so that little or no serotonin is formed. Normally, 5-HTP is decarboxylated to serotonin by the enzyme aromatic-L-amino-acid decarboxylase with the help of Pyridoxal 5-Phosphate (P5P), the enzymatic form of Vitamin B6.

We had one customer, a female in her late 30's, who took just 1 capsule of EndorphiGen and described her feeling as "odd". This same woman was later tested and found to be low in neopterin, which is a strong marker to indicate she has PKU.
