Subject: Turmeric and diabetes
An April 16th Health Capsule released a report that related that turmeric can trigger insulin secretion, which can modulate blood sugar levels. Health Capsule however, recommended a dose that was too high fir what is needed, recommending 1.5 grams a day in three divided doses. Turmeric is metabolized over 72 hours in the body, hence you might not even need a daily dosage. It's also important to note that besides Curcumin, there have been other essential substances substances contained in turmeric.
