Subject: Editorial: How Republicans came to love hemp
Republicans came to love hemp very much. Hemp looks just like marijuana but it does not make you high. The world appears to be turned upside down now because there are republicans that are supporting hemp. But, not just any kind of cannabis. The kind that has been endorsed in known as industrial hemp. Hemp is a very strong thing. The seeds can actually be eaten or turned into many different things. They have been used to create beauty products.
- Republican legislators are legalizing the growing of hemp by American farmers.
- Farmers will not grow hemp crops unless there is a market to sell their products.
- Commercial hemp farming operations are currently restricted by controlled substance laws
"The United States imports upwards of $600 million worth of hemp-based products each year — so American law allows hemp products, it just doesn’t make it easy for American companies to make them."
