Valerian Root (Valeriana officinalis)

Definition:
The ester-containing compounds in this herb give it a characteristic odor and help to promote its natural and safe sedating effect.

Applications:
Insomnia, headaches, hyperexcitability, hypertension, heart disorders, afterbirth pains, anxiety, tension, high blood pressure, stress, nervous stomach, palpitations, menstrual cramps and muscle spasms.
