Thus, there are no cells available to make insulin. So, in this case, the body will die without getting supplemental insulin immediately or in near- immediate future. The only treatment for this diabetes is insulin shots. Almost 10% of the people get this diabetes.
Whereas in type 2 diabetes, beta cells are present therefore insulin is also present. This diabetes is also known as non-insulin dependent diabetes. Insulin production produced is less than the amount of insulin the body requires. Almost 90% get affected by this type of diabetes. Treatment includes proper diet, exercise, and pills.
Usually, type 1 diabetes starts during childhood whereas type 2 diabetes is usually diagnosed during adulthood. As type 1 diabetes affects mostly young babies and children, it is known as juvenile-onset diabetes. People who have type 1 diabetes lack total insulin whereas type 2 diabetics have too little insulin.
Even the causes of type 1 and type 2 diabetes are entirely different. It is not possible to prevent type 1 diabetes whereas type 2 can be avoided. But type 2 diabetes may be genetic also. It may be the result of obesity or high blood pressure. The symptoms of type 1 diabetes are very severe. Suddenly the child becomes feeble and sick; urination is increased, experience increased thirst, nausea, vomiting, stomach and abdominal pain, excessive fatigue, weight loss and decreased appetite. Immediate medical attention or usually hospitalization is required for the person suffering from these symptoms. On the other hand, type 2 is often diagnosed before the presence of any symptoms.

There are about hundreds of castor oil factories in China, of which only about 10% castor oil manufacturers start working; large processing plants have around 20; only nine plants have tens of thousands processing capacity. About 70% of Chinese castor oil processing factories in stop production or semi-shutdown state, because there are no adequate, high-quality raw material castor sources. At the end of the 1980s, China extends and built several large scale castor oil factories, each factory's total amount of annual output of castor oil are in 10 -15 thousand tons, total production capacity is about 55,000 tons per year. The world's major markets of castor oil were concentrated in North America and Europe, of which the France, Britain, Netherlands, United States, Germany, five countries accounted for 61% of annual fuel consumption. India castor oil used in making soap has about 1.6-1.8 million tons, the textile industry uses 2-3 thousand tons, chemical industries use 2-3 thousand tons, lubricating oil use 5-6 thousand tons, the rest for exporting. In Japan's castor oil use amount, paints accounted for 28.6%, the surfactant is 12.3%, cosmetic raw material is 8.2%, resin is 5.7%, hardened oil is 17.8%, sebum oil is 12.9%, others is 14.5%. Japan needs to import large quantities of castor beans every year; they are mostly imported from China, Pakistan, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Brazil and other countries. Castor oil in the United States for the production of plastics and resins was accounted for 25.9%, fatty acids accounted for 12.7%, lubricating oil accounted for 6.3%, paint accounted for 23.7%, cosmetics (mainly synthetic waxes) accounted for 2.1%, others such as inks, surfactants accounted for 29.1%, these castor oils are imported from foreign countries. Every year, the world needs 700 thousand tons of castor oil, convert into 1.6 million tons castor beans. Nowadays, gasoline resource was gradually reduced, transportation, live used gasoline was rapidly increasing, use gasoline as a raw material for synthetic material will be increasingly constrained in cost. And the United States study found that long-term exposure to polymers which synthesized by gasoline was harmful to human health. California and some other states have enacted laws and regulations for this, to restrict and gradually prohibit using synthetic resin in city buildings, interior facilities and human health-related sites and articles, which is polymerized from petroleum, natural gas cleaved into monomers raw materials, it makes castor oil's demand was rising sharply. Castor cultivation in China is very commonly; there is no open planted regional division. South from Hainan Island, north to Heilongjiang is cultivated. Because castor hybrids with drought resistance, thin ridge resistant, saline-alkaline tolerance, well-adapted, simple to manage, less invest, high efficiency and other salient features, no matter grain field or hills, rocky land, saline-alkali soil and even around the house can be grown it. So anywhere in China can be planted castor. Related Products

The importance of DHEA to human health cannot be overlooked. Found in the bloodstream, dhea is the furthermost plentiful hormone steroid. It is secreted in the brain, testes and ovaries and produced by the adrenal glands. Adrenal glands is the major producer of DHEA hormone. This hormone is changed to other hormones essential in the body such as estrogen and androgen. Health benefits of DHEA
How DHEA levels diminishes with ageAs we age, dhea levels biologically diminish. According to research by experts, in our young years, plenty of dhea is secreted since it is vital for brain development and growth. This gradually continues until the age of 25 years after which the levels start to decline. The impact of the diminishing levels of dhea are mostly felt when we hit 40 years and above. This is manifested in terms of difficulties in remembering information, low levels of libido particularly in women, dry skin and increased anxiety. DHEA is a hormone that is essential to human beings as it aids in counteracting the aging process, making us feel good and above all improving our overall health. Taking dhea supplements for those aged 40 years and above will help keep at bay problems associated with low levels of DHEA.

Date:
December 07, 2015 01:04 AM
Contrary to the popular belief that all bacteria are bad for your health, there are friendly bacteria that are very beneficial to your health. The friendly bacteria are mainly found in the colon, which is also known as the large intestine. The small intestine also has friendly bacteria. The first section of the intestine, the esophagus and the stomach are mostly bacteria-free due to the deterrent effect caused by the strong stomach acid as well as the high level of digestive enzymes in this areas. The friendly bacteria that are found in the intestinal tract are very important to the human digestive system. They are responsible for producing enzymes that digest polysaccharides in plant cell walls. Some of the plant materials that you eat on a daily basis contribute to the fiber in your diet. The fiber is very important for a healthy colon. The enzymes that are released by the friendly bacteria usually make sure that most of the nutritional value of the plant materials that you eat does not go to waste. Some bacteria in the intestinal tract usually make vitamin K, which is necessary for the formation of new bone and blood clotting. They also make the vitamins from the B group. These types of vitamins are very difficult to get from the food that you eat every day. Attempts of humans to manufacture them have not been fruitful so far. The beneficial bacteria are also very helpful in stimulating the immune system and maintaining optimum pH. They may also help in digesting or breaking down hormones that are not required anymore, drugs, and environmental substances that carry the risk of causing cancer. Friendly bacteria also prevent the growth of harmful bacteria in the intestinal tract. When an ideal pH of the colon is maintained (which should be between 6.7 and 6.9), the growth of harmful bacteria such as shigella which causes diarrhea, salmonella which causes food poisoning, and e.coli which can cause kidney failure and intestinal disease is inhibited. The beneficial bacteria also produce volatile fatty acid which works together with other acids in the intestinal tract to suppress the survival of yeast (candida) and fungus. Normalizing bowel movements is another function that the friendly bacteria play in the intestinal tract. They do this by decreasing the time that waste products usually take to move through the digestive system. They also aid in correcting diarrhea and stopping constipation. Good bacteria also stimulate the formation of antibodies that protect your body against infectious diseases. They make your immunity strong. Another important thing that good bacteria do in the digestive system is removing toxic elements. They deactivate various organisms that are in food or produced by other organisms. This is mainly done by a bacterium called Lactobacillus acidophilus. The friendly bacteria are also instruments in reducing cholesterol, improving fat digestion by providing mobile acids, and protecting against cancer. Gas problems are also eliminated by the good bacteria. They also sweeten your breath, which would be a foul-smelling waste if bad bacteria take over the intestinal tract. Production of lactase enzyme is another thing that good bacteria do. This enzyme is necessary for digesting milk and milk products when they get to the digestive system. Without it, allergies will be a sure thing.

November 15, 2015 08:38 PM
Today, one of the most serious conditions that people face is hypertension, or as it is commonly known, high blood pressure. This is grave condition, that if not checked, can result to fatalities. This condition is mostly found in people who are over 40 years. However, it is not unlikely to find a teenager with hypertension. This is a worrying trend which means that something must be done to prevent it. Luckily, there is a simple solution that people can apply to control this condition. To start with, it is important to understand what causes the condition so that one may know how to combat it. High blood pressure is primarily caused by the constriction of the arteries which makes it hard to pump blood. The arteries are thinner than the veins and this means that the blood in them is at a higher pressure than in the veins. Due to the narrowness, they are able to pump blood faster and for longer distances. When a person feeds on unhealthy food that is rich in cholesterol and other harmful substances, this causes a deposition of the harmful substances on the endothelium (the interior surface of the arteries). When this happens, the arteries become more constricted thus increasing the pressure of blood that flows in them (hence the term high blood pressure). When the pressure increases, there is insufficient supply of blood to vital organs of the body like the brain. When the brain is not supplied with enough nutrients in the blood, this could lead to brain damage or stroke that may cause paralysis. Again, to ensure enough blood gets to the brain, the heart is forced to pump blood faster. This overworks the heart which may lead to heart attacks. Heart attacks are usually fatal. There is therefore a need to unblock the heart vessels to ensure that blood flows easily. Nitric oxide is one of the best known remedy to people suffering from high blood pressure. It helps lower the blood pressure by unblocking the arteries. It has numerous benefits to the body especially in lowering the blood pressure. Arteries are able to release nitric oxide but as one advances in age, their effectiveness diminishes with time. ![]() Beet roots are a great source of nitric oxide. Eating lots of them will help supply your body with the nitric oxide it needs to unblock the arteries and thus lower the blood pressure. The whole beet root plant including the leave and the roots provides are rich source of nitric oxide. For those who don’t like eating it raw or cooked, they can juice it and still get the nutrients. Apart from lowering hypertension, beet roots are also known to fight against cancer. These are enough reason why anyone should increase their intake of beet roots whether or not they are suffering from high blood pressure. Beet roots juice is available in stores which could act as a powerful supplement to combat hypertension.

Stevia is a natural sweetener that originates in South America – Paraguay and Brazil, mostly – with no calories and is remarkably much sweeter than sugar. The stevia plant Stevia Rebaudiana derives its sweetness from steviol glycocides. The extract is then processed for sale in the form of Truvia and PureVia around North America. It is not yet approved as an additive due to possible side effects of male infertility and genetic mutations. Benefits of Stevia over Sugar
The yeast we hear about being in our bodies is called Candida albicans and it can ferment sugar in the body, causing the candidiasis infection with treatment involving cutting sugar out of your diet. Stevia does not react with the yeast and can also keep your food sweet. Stevia is a safer and healthier option to sugar. It is natural and sweeter than sugar making it a great option to combat obesity and sugar level problems the world is constantly facing.

Cordyceps is simply a fungus. Not typically kitchen friendly, but if health is your number one target, then it will make the best supplement in your system. Before we go deeper into its benefits let us first have a clear understanding of what this unpopular yet effective medicinal fungi is. What is Cordyceps? It is simply an ascomycete fungi genus with approximately four hundred species that are mainly parasitic. They weren't considered beneficial to health until a recent discovery of Cordyceps Sinensis popularly known as a caterpillar fungi (It attaches itself on the caterpillar). Despite limited research on its health benefits, Cordyceps seems to be the best remedy for most of the health complications related to poor diet, lack of exercise and more. Let us take a look at some of its benefits. 1. A remedy for kidney disease - Cordyceps prevent rat's renal fibrosis. This condition (renal fibrosis) is evident in later stages of the organ. However, there is still need for more research on this fact. 2. Slows down Tumor Growth - There is some proof that Cordyceps trigger the immune system to combat cancer. Ability to improve the immune system was due to a result of research where there were some indications that Cordyceps slowed down tumor growth in many animals. 3. Increase libido - Lots of studies shows that Cordyceps raise the level of testosterone in rats. There are some claims that it also enhances sexual performance that is also yet to be proven. Apart from slowing down tumor growth, kidney disease and increasing sexual performance that are yet to be confirmed, Cordyceps have other numerous health benefits according to researchers that are, * Increase body oxygen uptake - Needed for maximum athletic performance. * Reduce the aging effects - Slows down aging that has remained a bother for centuries. * Strengthen muscles - For weight lifters and athletes looking to gain strong muscles with a little workout. * Improves lung function - Improves breathing needed for athletic performance * Good for the liver - Slows down liver complications that are known to lead to a liver transplant. There are also some claims that Cordyceps may replace the steroids when it comes to improving athletic performance and muscle building. Among these claims is that Cordyceps can enhance stamina needed mostly by sportsmen and women. Other researchers claim that it can tone muscles, increase energy and even reduce fatigue after a long time of work. In summary, the caterpillar fungi (Cordyceps) has a lot in store when it comes to solving health complications. However, these claims are yet to be confirmed. If the facts are as real as the researchers claim them to be, then Cordyceps will be at the top of the top list of best natural supplements ever discovered. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cordyceps //www.gnet.org/cordyceps-benefits/ //www.healthline.com/health/cordyceps-exercise-performance#1 //www.drugs.com/npp/cordyceps.html

Date:
July 21, 2015 08:53 PM
Glycosaminoglycans refers to a linear unbranched polysacharide chain molecule composed of disaccharides repeats with a high negative charge due to the presence of Uronic acid components and sulfate esters with some hydoxyl (OH) groups as part of its structural components. They have varying molecular size and sulfation depending on the tissue they are located on and their state. They function to attract cations and maintain the hydration of the extracellular membrane (E.C.M). Glycoaminoglycans are classified into different groups based on different categories which include; glycosidic linkages in their structure, type of the sugar moiety, sulphate groups numbers and the location of the sulfate groups. Based on this various classification categories six major groups of GAGs exists, namely; heparin, hyaluronan, dermatan sulfate, heparin sulfate, chondroitin sulfate, and keratan sulfate. GAGs have a high solvation degree and and are as well highly viscous. This is beneficial to the body in that it helps to cushion and lubricate various connective tissues and body joints respectively. It therefore protects an individual from joint pains due to poor lubrication of the joints causing the bone to slide over each other. They also form the building blocks of proteoglycans which are the major building blocks of the extracellular matrix. Due to this property they are vital in determining the cellular activities such as cell division because the cell division machinery has to attach itself to the extracellular matrix before the division process is initiated. Some body tissues such as the nerve cells and the muscle cells require continuous cell division to replace worn out cells for the normal functioning. This means that structural deformities in the extracellular matrix will hinder the division process to occur and is most likely to lead to some neurodegenerative complexions. Recent studies have linked GAGs to play a role in the cell biology of cancer. They have been established as the key macromolecules affecting cell properties and functions through interaction with key growth factors or by acting directly as receptor molecules. Through this it has been findings they play a vital role in the cell signaling process thus playing a role in the cancer disease progression.Heparin and heparin sulfate have been indicated through studies to have anti-tumor effects by preventing the process of angiogenesis which is the first step in cancer metastasis. Some have been associated with anti-coagulant properties. Therefore GAGs are important molecules which play a vital role in protection against various forms of cancers. GAGs aremostly obtained from animal sources. The animal sources include shark fish and ray skeletons. Plants are also sources of GAGs, however their digestion by the human system is not possible. Seaweed is one herb that is rich in GAGs. However as earlier explain the digestion of the sea weed by the animal digestive system is quite a challenge. It is therefore recommended that we eat foods rich in proteins, and carbohydrates which can be used to synthesize GAGs in the body. In summary, GAGs are heteropolymers which acts as the building blocks of the extracellular matrix in animals. The body has the ability to synthesize GAGs naturally hence nutritional supplement is required for the body to obtain key components necessary for the synthesis.

Date:
July 21, 2015 05:23 AM
More often than not, when we see the words vegetable oil, we assume that it is good for us since vegetables are essentially beneficial for the body. The truth of the matter is that this kind of oil is mostly derived from seeds such as sunflower, soybean and corn, not from any kind of vegetable at all. Aside from this, their extraction requires a process that uses up a lot of energy and is not good for the environment. Trans Fats Unsaturated fats, otherwise known as trans fats, are fats that are usually solid at room temperature but processed in such a way that they are not when they come in the form of oils derived from seeds. These contribute to diabetes, heart disease, cancer and obesity. The sad part is that although there are so many calls to action regarding minimizing the presence of trans fats in food; there is very little that has been done regarding their presence in vegetable oils. How trans fats were developed or discovered will show how scary it actually is. It was discovered while looking for an alternative to tallow which is an ingredient for candle wax. It was cheap and convenient to harness and use. The reason why it is widely used is because of its extended shelf life. It can also be reused several dozen times for frying without changing flavor or adding a rancid taste to the food fried in it. Mutated Fats The process of extracting the oils from their sources requires a lot of heating and, for some, even exposure to acids and metals which contribute to the "mutation" that these oils undergo. Hydrogenated vegetable oil confuses our bodies into thinking that they are good for us. This is mainly due to the processes that changes their form. HVO alters the structure of our cells, making them weak and lowering the good cholesterol as well as raising the bad. Our bodies welcome these fats and do not treat them as a danger although their presence does, in fact, increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes and other diseases. Imbalances Vegetable oils can also cause imbalances in the composition of our fatty acids. Omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids are not produced by our bodies. Therefore, we need to supplement these from our diets and daily consumption in pretty much the same amounts to balance their presence in the body. Polyunsaturated fats from HVO that causes the mutation in our cell membranes can lead to oxidative chain reactions which are harmful to our cells. In essence, our cells are made weak and the chances of alterations to our DNA are increased. Omega 6 is abundant in HVO because it helps to slow the deterioration of the vegetable oil. It can cause an imbalance to the cell membrane causing inflammation in various parts of the body. One component of Omega 6 that is highly dangerous is linoleic acid. It has been linked to obesity, high levels of bad cholesterol and even damage to the brain's hypothalamus. These are just a few of the dangers that come with using so called vegetable oils. These dangers are kept under wraps because of the massive income that the food industry will lose if it changes the oils used for cooking and preparing food.
