Subject: CBD comes from Cannabis Sativa

Cannabis Sativa is an herb that has been well documented (used) in history for thousands of years. it is extremely unique in the fact that it contains the perfect profile of phytocannabinoids. In order to get the full benefits of cannabinoids, a perfect plant is needed.

When looking for quality CBD, one must stick with known name Brands like CV Science (PlusCBD), Hempceutix by Natures Plus, Leaf Therapeutics by Solaray, and Smart Organics.

Unfortunately, it can be confusing choosing a CBD product because at the moment there are more than 400 Brands of CBD.

Inferior quality hemp products may:

  • Use poorly grown or inactive hemp, with little or no cannabinoids.
  • Use harmful solvents and other harmful extraction methods.
  • Use isolated, individual cannabinoid compounds.
  • Use synthetic cannabinoids, which are actually dangerous and can cause injury.
  • Be Difficult to absorb.
  • May not contain the potency they claim.

Sticking with name Brands that are known to be effective and hold to supplement industry standards are important, the above mentioned Brands use CO2 extraction to preserve all the active ingredients found in the Cannabis Sativa plant. Consuming a full spectrum CBD is important!

A Quality Hemp derived CBD can help improve ECS Function:

  • Improve the natural release of cannabinoids each cell makes in the body.
  • Can Directly adhere to the endocannabinoid receptors in our body's.
  • Increase the amount of available cannabinoids in the body.
  • Promote or increase endocannabinoid receptor sensitivity and function in the body.

Researchers have discovered 180 different cannabinoids found naturally in hemp, each are able to work in a different way in the body. Only a select few Brands provide the full spectrum cannabinoids we need for better health.

If you are looking to ease pain, reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and balance the body, consider using a full spectrum, Name Brand CBD product and feel the difference it can make in your life!

No to Pain Pills and Yes to Safe and Effective Curcumin

Subject: No to Pain Pills and Yes to Safe and Effective Curcumin

Many people turn to over the counter (OTC) drugs when they experience pain, the common ones are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, better known as NSAIDS. The problem with NSAIDS these drugs reduce an enzyme associated with pain called COX-1 and COX-2. There are a lot of hidden dangers behind prescription and OTC pain killers. Some of the most common ones consumed are Ibuprofen an d Acetaminophen.

Ibuprofen: a popular OTC pain reliever can cause stomach pain, nausea, gastric bleeding, ulcers, confusion, hypertension, increased heart attack and stroke. Also, swelling, rapid weight gain, reduced urination, which is a sign of kidney dysfunction, kidney failure, fever, sore throat, headache, rash, bruising, tingling, numbness, muscle weakness, neck stiffness, chills, light sensitivity, and seizures.

Acetaminophen: also known as Tylenol, is classified as an NSAID, but is also unsafe. The number one cause of liver failure in the United States is caused by acetaminophen next to alcohol consumption. If combined with alcohol, the damage to the liver is increased significantly. It also depletes glutathione, an important antioxidant needed by the liver to protect and detoxify the body. Over use of this OTC drug can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal tenderness, and it can interfere with blood clotting, weaken kidney function, and with severe over dose can cause death.

The alternative: Curcumin is a safe and effective pain reliever

Curcumin is a compound from Turmeric Root, unstandardized turmeric powder contains only two to three percent curcumin. It is important to get a standardized curcumin so that you can get a therapeutic response from consuming this herb. Not all curcumin is the same, look for a Brand that blends turmeric essential oil with curcumin to enhance the absorption of the product because the product is hard to absorb.

Curcumin is one of the worlds best studied herbs, it works by reducing a COX-2 response to inflammation the same target as many prescription and OTC drugs that cause organ damage and side effects. Fortunately, Curcumin can target the same in a safe and natural way with no side effects. It can prevent a wide spectrum of inflammatory and oxidative damage, relieve chronic pain as effective and much more safely than drugs like NSAIDs.

Taking OTC or prescription pain relieving drugs are not a long term solution for pain. With the side effects associated with common pain relievers, one should only take them as a last resort and consider using a safer alternative that is as effective to relieving pain. Terry Naturally offers BCM-95 a patented curcumin that is blended with turmeric essential oils, BCM-95 has been the subject of many clinical studies demonstrating its effectiveness in relieving pain. We at VitaNet offer free shipping on any product in Terry’s Brand. If you are struggling with pain, consider trying Terry Naturally to help relieve pain safely.

Shiitake mushrooms are a powerful medicinal superfood

Subject: Shiitake mushrooms are a powerful medicinal superfood

A new study has found that adding fermented shiitake mushroom to rice bran is effective in inhibiting the growth of Salmonella typhimurium. The study was conducted on mouse organs and it was published in the journal BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine. This formulation has been hailed as a new antimicrobial food-compatible formulation. The study was conducted on murine macrophage cells and in mice. Before this, it was known that the bioactive compounds in rice brans and in shiitake mushrooms have a lot of potential health benefits in mice, cells, and rodents. When the mycelia cells were compared against non-fermented ones, it was found that the bioactive compounds present in the fermented shiitake mushrooms could not be found in the ones that had not fermented. Further findings showed that the pathogen, Salmonella, was inhibited in infected macrophage cells and in organs in the mouse such as the cecum, mesenteric lymph node, spleen, and the liver. Another finding was that there was increased secretion of the bacteria in the feces in mouse. Overall, this findings show that fermented shiitake mushrooms with rice brans can be used as an antibiotic and antimicrobial food.

Key Takeaways:

  • To carry out the study a team of researchers from Korea and the US tried to understand the effect of shiitake mushroom with rice bran on macrophage cells.
  • The component produced in rice plants are bioactive rice brans and hulls while that produced by mushrooms are bioactive polysaccharides and other compounds.
  • When mushroom mycelia that was fermenting with rice bran cells were inspected it was found that they have bioactive compounds that are absent in the non-fermenting mycelia.

"A study published in the journal BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine found that a formulation of fermented shiitake mushroom with added rice bran can inhibit the growth of Salmonella typhimurium in infected mouse organs."

Subject: Coenzyme Q10: Research confirms ubiquinone and ubiquinol are nearlyequally-absorbed ...

Many Coenzyme Q10 products have labels that indicate that their product is better absorbed due to longtime beliefs surrounding ubiquinol (reduced Coenzyme Q10) being hard for the body to absorb. Many brands instead market ubiquinone, which is redox Coenzyme Q10 instead, since studies have been more supportive about this form being easier for the body to absorb. New research, however, is concluding that both of these forms are equal when it comes to the ability to be absorbed through the body.

Key Takeaways:

  • According to Coenzyme Q10 expert Dr. William Judy, there is very little difference in the absorption rates of ubiquinol and ubiquinone.
  • Both forms of CoQ10 contain antioxidants and are critical for overall mitochondrial health.
  • CoQ10 can be beneficial for those suffering from Parkinson's disease and has been shown to provide headache relief in adolescent and pediatric populations.

"Marketing terms such as “better absorbed” should be questioned unless the absorption or bioavailability is actually stated. Only when the actual absorption has been verified can the better absorbed product be determined."

Subject: Easily boost your immune system by eating more pomegranates, studyconcludes

Pomegranates have long been recognized for their beautiful red seeds that present in a much more vibrant light than many other fruits. Now researchers are finding that pomegranates have several health benefits, especially when it comes to treating chronic inflammatory conditions. A study performed on mice showed that the inflammation biomarkers present within their systems were dramatically reduced when they were given pomegranate extract on a continual basis, showing that it could have a similar impact on humans.

Key Takeaways:

  • One of the healthiest foods on the planet, pomegranates, was used by researchers to treat malaria-induced injury using an oxidative stress murine-model.
  • The researchers infected the laboratory mice with Plasmodium chabaudi, a species that causes malaria, and then fed the mice extracts of pomegranates.
  • Apart from the fact that the mice treated with pomegranates extract had fewer spleen injuries, there were lower numbers of inflammation biomarkers in them.

"Scientists from King Saud University concluded that pomegranates can boost the immune system and treat diseases such as malaria."

Subject: Omega-3 Deficiency Symptoms + 3 Steps to Overcome Them

Omega-3s have a wide variety of benefits for your brain and cardiac health, as well as keeping inflammation in check and hormones in balance, so you definitely shouldn’t let yourself become deficient. Omega-3s are an essential fatty acid, meaning the body cannot produce them on its own. A deficiency can cause inflammation, digestive troubles, and pain in muscles and joints, as well as changes in the appearance of skin and hair. Deficiencies can also cause or worsen ADHD symptoms or depression. A lack of omega-3s can even result in poor brain development in children and neurodegenerative symptoms in adults.

Key Takeaways:

  • It has been shown in numerous studies that omega-3 is very good for the health and some of the benefits include fighting inflammatory diseases.
  • One needs omega-3 for the following reasons: proper cardiovascular function, proper neurological function, cell membrane maintenance, and fetal development.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids are known as good fats and there are three types in the world today.

"“Omega-3s” is another name for omega-3 fatty acids. These fats are found in the human body, as well as in certain foods like oily fish. Essential fatty acids are “essential” because the body cannot synthesize them on its own, therefore humans must get these fats from the diet."

Subject: Feeling down and moody? Lift your spirits by taking fish oilsupplements

There are several cardiovascular benefits that coincide with routine consumption of fish oil supplements, but many are unaware of the cognitive benefits that fish oil also provides. The omega-3 fatty acids that are present in fish oil are vital in our system's ability to maintain structures of nerves and cell membranes that help defeat chronic conditions such as depression and anxiety. The omega-3 fatty acids work as a benefit for our cognitive function as opposed to making them more vulnerable as other harmful fats may do.

Key Takeaways:

  • Although the heart is associated with the benefits of fish oil, but it is also beneficial for maintaining healthy brain function.
  • Many diets and including several health foods do not have fish oil in them although it is essential for the brain.
  • When one has omega-3 deficiency, which is got from fish oil, it leads to depression, anxiety and mood disorders.

"Fish oil supplements are among the most popular dietary supplements, mainly for their ability to lower the risk of heart disease, thanks to the omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil."

Subject: Omega 3 Oil For Anxiety?

There is some evidence that omega-3 supplements can be effective in relieving anxiety. Recently, a Japanese research team looked at 19 previous studies and concluded that large doses of omega-3 supplements can relieve symptoms in adults diagnosed with anxiety disorder (though not in children or those with un-diagnosed anxiety). As an alternative to supplements, Dr. Andrew Weil recommends the consumption of oily, cold water fish as a means of ingesting omega-3, and suggests breathing exercises and meditation as ways to lessen anxiety.

Key Takeaways:

  • Our body cannot make omega-3 fatty acids and since they are needed by the body we have to get them from cold-water, oily fish.
  • The two essential omega-3 fatty acids are EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) which supports heart health and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) which is part of nerve cell membranes.
  • A study by Japanese researchers on omega-3 fatty acids found that it can help relieve anxiety disorders in people provided they are not below 18 years.

"There is some evidence that omega-3 supplements can help reduce anxiety in some people."

Subject: Researchers look at the powerful effect of mulberry fruit extracton insulin sensitivity

One of the main chemicals in mulberry fruit is rosiglitazone, and studies are showing that mice given rosiglitazone had much lower insulin readings than those who were not given the substance. The mulberry fruit was able to accomplish this by improving the amount of a certain chemical called 'plasma memBrane-glucose transporter 4'. This is what helps plasma enter the skeletal muscles. They think that this could potentially provide relief to those suffering from hyperglycemia or insulin resistance.

Key Takeaways:

  • Just as silkworms utilize the mulberry tree, humans can utilize it to treat the body’s sensitivity to insulin and glycemia.
  • The mulberry tree is native to China and is cultivated mainly for the silkworms in order to produce cotton. Yet, the fruit can be eaten raw as food.
  • The mulberry tree has been used in Chinese medicine for a long time to treat the premature graying of hair, and to cleanse the blood and restore its balance.

"The researchers constructed an animal model with a strain of mice that simulated the symptoms of diabetes in humans. The lab animals were divided into three groups according to the treatment they received."

Researchers look at the potential of rice bran in treating cardiovascular disease

Malaysian and Chinese researchers recently published a study in BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine that explores the potential of rice bran to reduce the platelet aggregation that contributes to harmful blood clots in people with atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular diseases. The rice bran policosanol extract used in the study significantly reduced both aggregation induced in response to a mixture of adenosine diphosphate (ADP), arachidonic acid and collagen, as well as adhesion of platelets to surfaces. More research is needed to explore whether this could be beneficial to a variety of cardiac conditions

Key Takeaways:

  • Malaysian and Chinese researchers recently published a study on whether rice bran can reduce harmful blood clots.
  • The researchers found that rice bran made platelets less adhesive and reduced clotting in response to chemically-induced aggregation.
  • Rice bran is a highly nutritious food, rich in Vitamin B and fiber, with potential far beyond its traditional use as animal feed.

"Research has found that rice bran can potentially be used as an alternative treatment for cardiovascular diseases."

Acai for colon health: The polyphenols from the Amazon superfruit can carry prebiotic benefits through the digestive tract

Acai is already known in the scientific community as a superfood. A new study is showing another health benefit of the fruit. A new study shows the polyphenol content of the fruit may provide prebiotic benefits in both the digestive track and colon because the polyphenol content can survive the digestive environment. The experiment used a powder of Acai that had been freeze dried and ground up, and then simulated the digestive environment. After the simulated digestive process they found up to fifty percent of the polyphenol content was still available. This means the polyphenol content could reach the colon extending the health benefit of the fruit.

Key Takeaways:

  • After putting acai pulp through a simulated digestive process, researcher found that almost half of the fruit’s polyphenol content was still available.
  • Acai polyphenols are known to serve as a prebiotic agent, helping the gut maintain a healthy bacteria balance.
  • The fermentation process that occurs during the digestive process can reduce inflammation and boost the body's metabolism.

"The scientific community has long branded acai berry as a superfood due in part to its many health benefits."

Researchers have made an estimate and guessed that there are 75 trillion cells in the body. Each of those cells is surrounded by a membrane that is bean shaped. This membrane is made up of dense rows of fatty acids. These require protection from lipid peroxidation. Vitamin E is one of the popular antioxidants. Vitamin E is shaped like a tadpole, which is the perfect shape to do this job. There are two forms of Vitamin E.

Key Takeaways:

  • Researchers estimate that the human body could contain as many as 75 trillion cells. Each of those cells is surrounded by a bean-shaped membrane made up of dense rows
  • Vitamin E comes in the perfect molecular shape to do this job—like a tadpole, with a head and tail, similar to the phospholipids that complement the cell membrane.
  • While alpha-tocopherol research still occurs at a much greater level than tocotrienol research, there has been a downward trend in alpha-tocopherol research alongside an increase in understanding.

"In this study, researchers found that alpha-tocopherol, when co-administered with tocotrienols, reduced tocotrienols’ inhibitory effect on HMGR."

In this sequence, a spinach leaf is stripped of its plant cells, a process called decellularization, using a detergent. The process leaves behind the leaf's vasculature. Researchers at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) were able to culture beating human heart cells on such decelluralized leaves. Plants and animals exploit fundamentally different approaches to transporting fluids, chemicals and macromolecules, yet there are surprising similarities in their vascular network structures," the authors wrote. Subject: The fix for dry eyes

There are many remedies for dry eyes out there. This gives you some more ideas. Dry eyes can be very unpleasant. It can be anything from irritating to painful. It happens when the body doesn't make enough tears for themselves. Tears are needed to lubricate the eye's sensitive memBranes and without them irritation occurs.

Key Takeaways:

  • Our eyes have a few sources of moisture. One is the lacrimal gland in the upper outer quadrant of the eye. That’s the gland that produces buckets of tears if you cry or something gets in your eye.
  • a network of glands embedded in the conjunctiva (the white surface of the eye and the undersurface of the eyelids) that produces water and mucus
  • The cocktail of water, mucus, and oil from these last two sources make up the tear film on the eye surface. We need it to see properly. “Each time you blink, you reapply a new wet surface,” explains Dr. Gardiner.

"Taking care of dry eyes not only relieves discomfort but can help you avoid infection or even scarred corneas."
